What Locals Say about Ludlow Park

  • Trulia User
"Houses are old , small and a bit expensive. Street parking is tough, and yet houses are not well equipped with big drive ways and/or garages "
  • Danica E.
"My neighborhood has great access to transportation. Metro North Ludlow station is walking distance. The Bee line bus runs nearby as well. If you drive you have nearby access to major highways. They take you into NJ, upstate, Queens and manhattan. I am a SAHM but my husband always uses some form of transportation. He either drives into work or takes the metro north into the city.... or I have dropped him off net by to the No. 4 train station. Ludlow Park is a local gem! "
  • Danica E.
"I’m a stay at home mom, but there is so many forms of transportation nearby. You have metro north, buses, access to the Highway etc."
  • Aimee H.
"My commute to Astoria is not bad. Roughly 35-40 minutes in the morning, 45-55 minutes in the afternoon."
  • Mercedes R.
"the neighborhood has an annual block party every year. I never get to go but I hear it's nice. they have food and games and music. they leave flyer at your door and invite all the neighbors in the area. "

"Valentine's Garden's, is very bad place to live even with camera's my car has been hit a couple of time's in my outdoor parking. And in building 29 i had to make noise complaints of music. Not only that strangers been walking in the complex and in the buildings, what's for all the camera's in the hallways for. They bob two apartments here in my building already and nobody was caught. They don't even live here walking they dogs and don't pick up after them. Parking all depends on the broad, if your lucky a couple hundreds under the table."

"Historic Ludow Park is a beautiful, neighborhood planned in the late 1890's by the Ludlow family. It is almost a secret tucked quietly in the southeast corner of Westchester county. The residences are large romantic Victorians and arts and craft homes filled with light and charm. The main street, Sunnyside drive winds around the Hudson river giving lovely views of the Palisades It comes alive in the spring with cherry trees lining the slat sidewalks . The metro north has a stop in this neighborhood and by car your can be in the city in 20-30 minutes. This is a perfect neighborhood for people who want a place to live, where they can feel like they are in the country, take walks , enjoy the relaxing views, gardens, and friendly neighbors but still have the city to work and play in.."
