"Lived in Valley Stream for a majority of my life. The public school system is one of the best in the south shore. East access to Manhattan with two LIRR lines going through the town and occasionally the Babylon line as well. Hendrickson Park is the “private” park for residents of the village. A nice place to go for a walk with your family. The town holds a huge Fourth of July party at one of the fields. Firework show can be seen from blocks away. Overall good place to raise a family. Every town has its quirks; however, VS favors overs the rest. "

"Safe neighborhood, clean, and quiet. Public transportation is hit or miss but railroad access to the city. Decent schools, not much of a social scene outside of a few local bars. Overall, very decent."
