"St Remy is a small hamlet, most homes are spread out. There is wildlife in the area, we see deer foraging on our lawn, turkeys and their young in the wood next to our lot. Occasionally a bald eagle, ravens and fox will wander through the area. Walking distance to fishing and the strand, many walk Main Street for exercise and visit with neighbors presently some of the neighbors are doing maple syrup. Looking forward toward gathering Morel mushrooms in the spring"

"I've lived here for two years now and it is a beautiful area. It's close to major railroad stop (Poughkeepsie) and right on the Hudson River. New York City is 90 miles away. There's lots of hiking trails and outdoor recreation. Kingston is close by with shopping malls, nightlife and restaurants. All in all a great quality of life and one of the hidden jewels of the Hudson Valley."
