"l've lived here for six years and lved loved it.people are nice, kind and friendly.and nature is so beautiful here and in the park.some times we here shooting out side at night "
  • Cskaalrud
"I've lived in either Whittier, Bottineau, or Powderhorn for over 7 years. Powderhorn is a nice, friendly, and really beautiful part of Minneapolis. Generally laid back, progressive or at least laisse-faire population. No more drugs, "gun-shots" (read: often fireworks, cars), or drug deals than ANY part of the Twin Cities, including the over-idealized suburbs. The stereotype here is that of "real hippies and hair dressers and drunks," but it's families, older residents, young to middle-aged renters and general true-blue Minneapolitans. A truly great mix of cultures, food, collectives, LGBT and POC friendly businesses, artists, workers, and families."
  • Alyssa N.
"the over abundance of crack heads, drug deals, gun shots and police sirens. it's a really nice area when the sun is up and the police presence is felt. otherwise don't walk alone and bring a weapon. also my car gotstolen literally IN FRONT of my house...so there's that "
