What Locals Say about Eliot

  • jennifer riccardi
"Eliot is an amazing place to raise kids with a small town feel but near all amenities. Someone mentioned it's walkable. Only to walk your dog... you can't get anywhere in Eliot without driving. "
  • Keira Glinka
"There is a strict leash law so you don’t have to worry about your dog being charged by other dogs.. however you do get the occasional people who have no idea what they’re doing. Very rare, though. "
  • Tess M.
"We do not have any events that I know of but Portsmouth is near by which has a lot going on. It is about a 10 minute drive to Portsmouth so it feels more like a suburb of Portsmouth. There are probably events in Eliot but they are not very well known. "
  • Tess M.
"I grew up in Eliot and have been here ally my life. It is close to the beaches and Portsmouth but without the extreme prices. It is also close to Boston, about an hour, which makes it an easy day or night trip."
  • Jriccardi
"Good school system and has improved over the years. It was reason we moved and stayed in Eliot. Very safe schools and tight community. "
  • Rahhhhn
"I see people walking their dog all the time. Seems really dog friendly. Take yours fit a walk and see. "
  • Trulia User
"8 minutes from Portsmouth, an hour from Boston, 45 minutes from Portland or Manchester. In the middle of 3 airports. "
  • Mindyaumann
"I love the small town feel with amenities very close by. Good schools. Nice people. Very walkable. Wild turkeys and deer are frequent visitors. "
