What Locals Say about Frances Slocum

  • Trulia User
"It’s quiet as peaceful and very clean. People are very friendly too. It’s just an overall great neighborhood to stay in"
  • Ken M.
"I think its a very average neighborhood for dog owners, but there is also Klug Park within the confines of the neighborhood and it's perfect for dogs to run and play if theyre safe off-leash. "
  • Angela P.
"Lots of sidewalks, nearby dog park at Johnny Appleseed park. Friendly and safe neighborhood, people drive slow and are safe. I would walk my dog here daily and not feel afraid for myself or my pets. "
  • Cfosn1
"Neighborhood is awful. Can’t wait to get out. Full of renters, drug dealers and loud people. No one seems to have working mufflers on their cards. People have no respect for neighbors. "
  • Tiina D. H.
"I've lived in this area for 12 years and raised my kids here. The location is convenient to both downtown, north, and south Fort Wayne. Super close to the zoo, Science Central, numerous parks, SkyZone, Canlan Ice Center, Memorial Coliseum/Johnny Appleseed Park, Hazelwood Post Office, St. Jude, and Parkview Randallia. Walking is great - I love to walk down Forest Park Blvd to Lakeside Park. Beautiful, mature trees and lots of sidewalks. Quiet, low traffic streets are safe for kids and pets. Great neighbors...many have lived here all their lives. Nice mix of families, widows, and older couples. "
