"I don't feel safe. My son got assaulted just outside of our house. No place for dog walking. Rat infested everywhere. Not enough parking. The streets are not clean. I can't wait to move out from here."

"No pick up after but it’s ok no worries about that. That’s not the most common. It’s friendly with dogs "
- Terri Andrewscain

"Great neighborhood. Gang areas surround us but little violent crime. Mostly tagging. Parking is an issue because many parts of streets in the area are restricted and what’s not restricted is used by North Park Uni students."
- Trulia User

"Very clean environment, mostly friendly neighbors, I would still highly praise and recommend for people to live here. On occasion you would still hear/see crazy drivers. Nonetheless I feel safe to raise my daughter in this neighborhood. "

"If you live off of Lawrence this neighborhood is bad. I leave woth my kids in the morning to go to school and there's already people drinking at my gate. Not to mention the few times people were passed out drunk in the entrance to my building. Ridgeway and Lawrence. "

"Nothing during the pandemic. A lot of restaurants and mom/pop shops. Block parties prior to 2020. Always see neighbors talking on the street and dogs being walked. Feel safe when going to and from apartment/car. Building up the neighborhood with new developments and shops. Overall, a centered, fun, easy access part of Chicago. "

"I love this neighborhood! It has the most friendly, community vibe than any other area I've lived in Chicago. Leafy streets with charming bungalow homes and so close to many parks, (Ravenswood Manor Park, Horner Park, River Park), the river trail, and all kinds of local restaurants. "

"Love this neighborhood and I intend on staying here! My grandparents have owned a building here for over 20 years (I’m 26 years old now) and I’ve always felt safe as a kid. It’s a well kept, friendly, and quiet area. I live on Kolmar and there’s a new strip of stores coming in such as Five Below, Ross, Target, and an LA Fitness gym, so I’m absolutely thrilled the neighborhood is becoming even more walkable!! "
