What Locals Say about Brookside Park

  • Andrealee1635
"The community center puts on a few events a year. So does the nearby church. The fire hall puts on bingo and card shows. Mostly Main Street is the only thing going on around here. It’s Delaware. "
  • Jessica R. .
"Schools near by and we have sidewalks and crossing guards for the walkers. The police patrol the neighborhood constantly. "
  • Asianee521
"It’s quite every time I visit no matter what time of day or night, I would love to live in the area looking for a home now in the neighborhood."
  • Cassie j. D.
"brookside park is a working class neighborhood neighbors keep to themselves unless they see you need help."
  • ericpts10
"It's not a bad place if you are looking for long term or just a year or two. Most of us get along very well. Walk your dog down the street and if someone see's you they most likely will say hi and pet the dog while they talk to you. This place has a bad reputation, at least this side. Bunch of older folks that want to talk, bunch of kids that wan't to play. All the bad stuff is in the other sections. Unjustified bad rep for this side of route 4. "
  • Pchapman49
"Nice middle-class family community. Most needs are within walking distance. Close to the UD campus and the football field are within walking distance, as well as the elementary school. UD buses as well as community buses both come into the area. Local grocery store and strip shopping centers within walking distance."
