What Locals Say about Davis Junction

"Some neighbors leave their dogs run loose, & the dogs then aggresively charge at anyone nearby. A good neighbor would have their animals in a fenced yard, or on a tie-out. My wife & I have almost been bitten several different times by an aggressive dog that was not fenced, or leasehed."

"I've lived here for over 10 years. The schools were the main reason why we chose Davis Junction, which is part of the Stillman Valley (Meridian #223) District. My youngest is just about to graduate from Stillman HS, and they have been truly wonderful schools for our kids to attend! I specifically live in Harvest Glenn subdivision, and it was a great place to raise my kids. Lots of families with children & pets in the subdivision, every day seeing families out enjoying just a walk around the block, or using one of our parks. This is definitely a working class neighborhood, meant in the most loving of terms. People here mostly roll up the streets pretty early, and you hear many heading off to work early in the morning. Neighbors, for the most part, are polite and friendly. Low Ogle County taxes, and great schools make this a great place to raise your kids!! This community also has a Village board that truly cares about the residents and works proactively for the community. They will soon (as of this writing) be unveiling a veterans' statue of amazing quality for the community to enjoy."
