5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have 2 kids enrolled at Paseo Del Rey, 1 in English/Spanish Dual Language program, and another in the Natural Science Magnet program. Both are having an excellent experience, learning and advancing in their studies in a warm supportive environment. The teachers, support staff, principal and office team have been a pleasure, the smaller classes really give the kids a boost. The school does a lot to make things fun with awards presentations that encourage the kids, music program that is really fantastic, and school trips that have been well organized and supervised. Can only recommend Paseo Del Rey to anyone in the neighborhood with elementary aged children, it's a real gem.Parent Review5mo ago54 Reviews - Westchester Enriched Sciences Magnet Health/Sports Medicine

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’ve been looking into this school and have met with almost all of the administration and teachers here, even spoke and watched students while looking into middle schools for my kid. I’m a neighborhood mom and I’m really impressed with everything I’m seeing. Kids seems happy and respectful everytime I pop by. The administration is always working on making sure the kids are excelling and great opportunity to succeed. I’m very excited about the progression on this school and excited on the momentum of other parents in the neighborhood doing their own research as making this a pathway for their kids for middle school.Other Review6mo ago40 Reviews - Kentwood Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family is so lucky to have located Kentwood in our quest to find the best elementary school in the area! My kids are thriving, and the community is like no other. Kentwood’s teachers go above and beyond to ensure every child is learning in their own way. The principal has focused on small group learning to allow all students to reach their highest potential. The staff are caring and involved - it seems like they know every student in the school by name! One thing I love about the school is that volunteers are welcome and appreciated. I’ve met so many other caregivers at on campus and off campus events. The PTO is super active and schedules a ton of fun movie nights and fun days - for the kids in school and the local community! It’s a very inclusive environment!Parent Review1y ago20 Reviews - Loyola Village Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThankfully, the current administrator recently retired, giving LV a real opportunity to restore a school with strong teacher morale, improved relationships with parents, better management of teachers who are chronically absent, higher enrollment, an end to teacher harassment, and a school that both educators and parents can proudly stand behind.Parent Review11mo ago38 Reviews - Katherine Johnson STEM Academy

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI enrolled my child at this school after a family friends child attended and graduated from Katherine Stem. I later returned for a school tour that was hosted by the former principal, and things seemed very promising. Unfortunately, by the time my child started school we were informed that there is a new principal. This was a drastically bad decision. The new principal should not be a principal. So many families have un-enrolled their child since the beginning of the semester for a multitude of negative reasons. The students have to deal with unkept restrooms resulting in them holding their urine and bowels due to unsanitary conditions, some classes have had subs the majority of the semester with permanent teachers leaving or being let go for unacceptable behavior, not enough adult supervision on the campus, and a lot of bullying that is not taken seriously with thorough measures to resolve!Parent Review3mo ago20 Reviews - Check out schools near 7349 Rindge Ave.

"The Westchester July 4th parade is a great community event. School marching bands from Westchester and beyond, floats featuring various organizations, children riding their decorated bicycles, classic cars with politicians, and dancing horses. The homes along the route decorate too so it’s a very festive celebration of our country. "
