6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageKids are out of control. There are no real consequences for bad behavior and teachers are not allowed to discipline kids which creates an unsafe environment at times. Teachers are miserable and get zero support from administration.Other Review7y ago - Parkview Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am giving one stay because I have to and there are very few great people at this school. My son went to school here and since day one has had a bad experience. I got phone calls all the time saying something bad about my son. He would come home with brand new clothes riped and bruises on him. He ended up with very low self-esteem and never wanted to go back. This went on for 3 years. The vice principal was rude and never would hear anyone out and just went by hear say. Sometimes i was never told when my son was in ISS. Other children and parents would tell me he was in ISS or has to scrub walls or so on. We have moved 2 years ago and he is doung so much better. Better grades and better attitude about school. I do not get any phone calls and instead am told he is doing very good and is a smart child. Now I am not saying my son didnt do anything but he wasnt as bad as how they made him out to be. No child should be treated as my son was at this school. It was a horrible experience and very happy we moved. My kids are happier and better off now.Parent Review8y ago - Cameron Intermediate School

"I've lived here a majority of my life and so has my family. This is the only town I've lived in where the schools don't take bullying seriously. This is the only town I've ever lived in where a majority of people make outsiders not feel welcome. Most people who live here are not neighborly. Everywhere else I've lived/visited had kind people who weren't judgemental and were very accepting of other people's religions, appearance, sexuality and disorders. They welcomed strangers with open arma and the neighborhoods are as safe as safe can get. They made a person like me, feel welcome. A feeling I've never felt while living in Cameron. So yeah, this town is unique alright...but not in the good way"
