4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAgree with the school needing competent leadership. My son has been jumped twice now this school year and I was not called on either occasion. He has been caught skipping school by the police and I have checked his attendance record (which is awful) but I have not been contacted in over six months by the school about his attendance. The school must notify me if I am to enforce standards on the child. I've resorted to a FINS petition. This school should be shut down.Parent Review13y ago - Pinewood Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe bullying at this school is awful. Principles see parents as a threat when talking to them or trying to get some kind of understanding /explanation. This school is just sad. Testing score are very low. Being a concerned parent they see that as a threat. Instead of closing jacksonville elementary down they should have closed this school down.Parent Review8y ago - Jacksonville Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you notice the older reviews were written when the school was a neglected part of the Pulaski County School District. The community took full control in 2016. Yes, there were some growing pains. Today, the school matters to the people who are invested in our community. Today, the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District is revitalizing our schools: last year we opened the new high school building, and in 2021 we will open our new middle school and elementary school on the former site of the old high school. Things have drastically changed for the better in the last 4 years. Even through our challenges with COVID-19, teachers, administrators, and our local community have joined together to provide the best opportunities for our students. It has not been easy, but we are seeing progress through the tough times too. I am proud to say, that JMS is transforming into a great school.Other Review3y ago - Check out schools near 501 Pamela Dr.

"The schools here used to be good . I use to love the school my children went to but now it’s like none of the teachers care . The fast food places aren’t that great either it seems like none of them can get an order right to save their life . The only thing I enjoy about living here is the grocery stores are close . "
