Theresa and Joe Giudice of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” fame are selling their large Towaco, NJ house just weeks before they’re set to be sentenced to time in “the big house” – aka jail.

The longtime Bravo TV stars and fan favorites ran afoul of the law this past year, when they were indicted and eventually plead guilty to numerous counts of tax and mortgage fraud. Their sentencing is set for early October, where they’ll find out how many months they’ll spend in the slammer, where they’ll undoubtedly experience a new kind of reality.

With lawyers bills piling up, Joe and Theresa are selling their Jersey estate for $3,999,000. They picked up the vacant lot in 2002 for $530,000, and proceeded to build a massive Chateau-style mega-mansion.

Located at 6 Indian Lane, the home sits on 3.5 acres and has 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and 10,044 square feet. There’s a lot of Theresa touches throughout, including an abundance of brown and bling. As seen many times on the TV show, the Giudice home has a grand two- story entrance with double Cinderella staircases.

The gourmet kitchen is the center of the home, and is often the scene of Giudice family get-togethers and moments with their four daughters. The kitchen features a butlers pantry and large working center island, perfect for entertaining.

The grand formal great room doesn’t get much screen time, but in the photos, you can see that it features a huge wood-burning fireplace, a soaring two-story ceiling with upstairs balcony overlooking the room.

The master bedroom is just what you’d expect from Theresa – over-sized and over-the-top! It features three custom designed walk-in closets, a massive gas fireplace, and master bath with onyx tile, steam shower, soaking tub.

Reese Witherspoon is doubling down on fancy houses, buying her second multi-million-dollar estate in the last month, this time in Pacific Palisades, California.

Just last month, she paid $1,950,000 for a stately fixer-upper in her hometown of Nashville.

When Reese bought the big Nashville mansion last month, it looked like she was packing up the family and decamping to Tennessee, shedding her glamourous life in California. It seemed like a real possibility, especially since she and Jim had their Brentwood mega-mansion quietly on the market for $14 million. With this brand new West Coast purchase, it seems that Reese and Jim aren’t leaving the Golden State, they’re just changing things up and moving to a new pad!

For their new West Coast deal, property records show that Witherspoon and her agent hubby, Jim Toth, paid $12,705,000 for a 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom, 4,344 square foot home. The home was never publicly for-sale and the deal was an off-market transaction that closed on August 28, 2014.

      Sneaky, sneaky.

The home was last sold in December 2012 for $4.9 million to award-winning “starchitect” Ken Ungar, who worked his magic on the property and created an estate worthy of an A-lister. Based on the sold price and the “before” pictures you can see above, Unger took a outdated estate and turned it into something worthy of a $12.7 million price tag, netting a nice profit when the deal closed.

Less than a month after becoming Mrs. Kennedy when she married Robert F. Kennedy Jr., actress Cheryl Hines has sold her estate in Bel Air for $3,105,000.

Reminiscent of the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, Cheryl’s just-sold home is a Cape Cod-style stunner in upper Bel Air. The home has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 3,756 square feet of living space. A formal entry gives way to an expansive one story home centered around a grassy backyard with sparkling pool and large brick patio.

The center of the home features a great room with exposed wood-beamed ceilings and custom shelving and a den. Nearby, the kitchen has a large center-island with Viking appliances, abundant storage space, a walk-in pantry and built-in breakfast area. The formal dining room has wood floors and overlooks the grassy front yard.

The master suite features a fireplace, beautiful bathroom with spa tub and large walk-in closet. French doors lead to the backyard, with coveted views of the canyon, city and ocean.

The newest Mrs. Kennedy made a tidy profit on the deal. She bought the home for $2,350,000 in August 2010, and sold it for $755,000 more, just four years later! Now, that’s a great wedding present from the real estate market!

Backstreet (bad) Boy A.J. McLean has just relisted his Mediterranean mansion in Los Angeles - at a major loss.

McLean paid $2,458,000 for the spot in September 2006, and now, he’s asking just $1,795,000 for the 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom spot. A potential loss of that size can’t be music to the former boy bander’s ears. He tried to recoup some of the money he paid for the place when he first listed the home in April 2012 for $1,999,999. With no buyers in sight, McLean and his new wife, Rochelle Karidis, pulled the home off the market for a bit.

          Now, the home is back!

An “oasis” located on the most prestigious, privately owned and tree-lined street in The Oaks, the house has over 3,000 square feet of open living space. There’s a large formal living room, and a dining room with built-ins. The gourmet kitchen is a chef’s dream, with stainless steel appliances, granite counter-tops, a built-in wine refrigerator and plenty of space atop the island.

Creatively planned, the home’s indoor/outdoor flow is perfect for entertaining. The home is highlighted by a gorgeous backyard with gas fireplace, built-in BBQ, and a magical water fountain. Lush landscaping throughout the property creates the ultimate in home privacy.

            TV Show Homes

            San Francisco & New York

In collaboration with the pop culture experts over at People magazine, we looked at the real estate reality of two of the most iconic TV shows of all time: Full House and Friends!

According to Trulia data, the iconic home used for exterior shots on Full House is located at 1709 Broderick Street in San Francisco. It last sold for $2,865,000 in 2013. Based on our calculations, even with the whole brood living there, Danny Tanner, Uncle Jesse and Joey would be priced out of the pricey property.

If they put down a 20% down payment and got a 30-year, 4.1% fixed-rate mortgage, their monthly mortgage payment would top $14,000.

Let’s do the math: if Danny (played by Bob Saget) made close to $160,000 a year as the host of the local Tv show, Wake Up San Francisco, Joey made $30,000 doing stand-up gigs around the country, and Uncle Jesse raked in $48,000 as a musician, together,  they could only afford a home around $1.23 million or about a $6,000-a-month mortgage. Not even close!

Toronto Raptors dribbler DeMar DeRozan has just dropped $3,752,500 on a 7 bedroom, 8 bathroom, 6,609 square foot estate in Tarzana, CA.

The NBA star spends the season in Canada, but his new digs say that he’s keen to stay close to his roots. DeMar was a standout high school basketball star at Compton High School in Los Angeles, and he didn’t go far for college when he landed at the University of Southern California.

He didn’t last long in the college basketball world. He played just one year before being drafted by Toronto as the 9th pick in the first round of the 2009 NBA draft.

DeMar has spent the entirety of his NBA career north of the border, but he’s now got a sweet SoCal spot to spend his downtime at.

In a guard-gated neighborhood, DeMar’s new Tarzana house has a dual staircase, distressed wood floors, media room, kitchen with double island, top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, a family room with beamed ceilings, a kitchen that opens to outdoor covered patio and fireplace, a large formal dining area, living room with high ceilings, fireplace, and doors that open to the backyard, office, maids and laundry room.

All bedrooms are suites with their own bathrooms, and a huge master retreat has a sitting area, balcony, two closets and an incredible master bathroom with soaking tub and steam shower.

The backyard has rolling lawns, a large sparkling pool and spa with slide, covered cabana and a massive basketball/sport court, where DeMar can dribble in the warm California sun.

Off the court, DeMar needs more space. He and his fiance, Kiara Morrison, welcomed a daughter in May 2013.

The newlyweds exchanged vows at a private, custom-built, castle-like estate in the Miami area, complete with a moat!

Designed and built in 2007 by famed architect Charles Sieger, the fabulous 14-acre estate sits in the middle of a moat, with water on all sides. The home has 8 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a wine cellar, sprawling lawns, a koi pond and incredible gardens.

If the moat isn’t enough, in case of emergencies, the home has impact glass and a full-house generator.

Pop’s colorfully bold bad girl, Ke$ha, has just shocked everyone and bought a very vanilla Venice bungalow.

The artist with the dollar sign in her name dropped $1.65 million of her own dollars for a pristine 1925 Spanish bungalow in a primo Venice Beach location.

Who knew the edgy singer would be into vintage details? Her new home has oodles of them, including arched entryways and hardwood floors. The throwback details are combined with modern amenities, including an updated kitchen with Italian marble counter tops, new stainless steel appliances, a brand new master bath, dual paned windows and central AC.

From a very romantic and feminine master suite, French doors lead to a secluded backyard, featuring an outdoor fireplace and arbor-covered hot tub.

Ke$ha can now entertain to her heart’s desire on the side-to-back spanish-tiled patio and cook on the built-in outdoor kitchen.

A one-car garage has been used as an artist studio/office by it’s previous owner.

Kesha rose to fame in 2010 with the release of her first album, which spun out multiple number-one hits. She’s had a bumpy road in the last few years, including a stint in rehab. With the purchase of her new Venice retreat, she has a calm and serene place to call home.

Matthew Irmas of Partner’s Trust Beverly Hills represented the sellers and Kesha’s real estate agent was Peter Lorimer of Peter Lorimer Group Estates.

                      $2,375,000

                      Celebrity Switcheroo!

Vince Vaughn has just been identified as the buyer of Kate Bosworth’s open and airy Los Angeles hideaway. First revealed by the Real Estalker, property records show that Vaughn is indeed the buyer of Bosworth’s hills spread.

Vince and his wife splashed out $2,375,000 for the 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, 2,890 Nichols Canyon home, which is a  little less than what Kate was hoping to get for it (original asking price was $2,499,000), but the blonde beauty has by no means sold at a loss to Vince. The ‘Blue Crush’ actress paid $2,100,000 when she purchased the 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom place in 2005.

Vaughn’s new private pad is set behind a discreet gate that leads you down a long drive to this contemporary home on over half an acre.

The floor plan is open and flowing, with the dining and living areas seamlessly connected. In the heart of the home, a chef’s kitchen features professional appliances and huge windows that overlook the patio and views beyond.

The home’s 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths include the upstairs master retreat with sitting area, two walk-in closets, spa-like bath with double Carrara marble vanity and a jetted tub.

French doors leads to multiple outdoor areas, including a lap pool and an outdoor living room with incredible light and canyon views.

Why would Vaughn buy from Bosworth, when he just snapped up two other properties in the last year? To add to his collection, of course! He currently owns a 12,000 square-foot penthouse in the historic Palmolive Building and another smaller apartment in the River North neighborhood of his hometown of Chicago, as well as two Los Angeles-area properties. The first is a $3,925,000 property in La Canada Flintridge, and the second is a Manhattan Beach mansion he bought for $6,447,000 from former USC football coach, Lane Kiffin.
