5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDon't walk - RUN from this school.Academics: School is overwhelmed with the English-second language kids. Teachers can not keep up and only pay attention to the kids that are severely behind.Teachers: there are several STAR teachers that makes all the difference. But the majority of the teachers are below average at best and there only to collect the paycheck. Administration: this is where the real problem is. The Principle does not care and that cascades down to the teachers. Issues are being swept under the rug, no communication, 0 transparency. Hard working teachers are not being encouraged/rewarded. Low preforming teachers get no support or encouragements to better themselves. Behavioral: saying curse words in the class in front of the teacher would NOT get you to the principle office. Violence ( hitting, punching, verbal) is a "normal" thing for this school.Bullying: is a daily occurrence in the school. Lunch time, play time and bus are the most common areas. There is next to no supervision ( "I did not see it" is a frequent statement from the teachers aid), no transparency.
