Description

This property is not currently for sale or for rent on Trulia. The description and property data below may have been provided by a third party, the homeowner or public records.
This home is a Real Estate Owned (REO)/Post Foreclosure. Once a lender has foreclosed on a property it is soon put up for public auction. If bids fall short of the asking price the bank will buy back the home and attempt to sell it on the open market. However, lenders are not real estate agents, meaning that they will often accept offers 30 to 60 percent less than market value!

What Locals Say about South Trenton

  • Stephanie Negron
"I just want to get settled in a house or apartment, specially so my children have a home to call their own. They deserve that and more. I’ve lived in Trenton over 14 years and still feels like home"

"It's not much to do in the south trenton area , only good things we have our the few parks that we have for the children and also a lot of Spanish food restaurants and bars other than it's nothing out here"

  • Arielle B.
"I am very fortunate to live on one of the best blocks in South Trenton. All of our neighbors are friendly and we all keep the block and our houses clean. This is the first time, out of all the rentals we’ve lived in, that I’ve felt a sense of community. The only down side is finding parking after 6pm since there aren’t many houses with driveways and most homes own more than one car. "

"dogs are welcome in the neighborhood. people walk their dogs freely and there's no discriminating against breeds. we are familiar with dogs"

"There is nice parts and some people in this neighborhood who have common sense and are good people but you have to be careful. They do try here but there’s a lot of perverted men who will pray on children just like anywhere else but there’s less safety here with all the drugs, just mind your business. Keep to yourself and try to make your home the best you can "

"There are plenty of great parks in the area, and easy access to public transportation. Very close to major highways. There are a number off different elementary, middle & High Schools nearby. Dining and Fast food also populate the South Trenton area."

"South Trenton is full of drug infested neighborhoods, trash and vacant properties. I do not reccomend letting your children wake to school alone. "

"We have been back in South Trenton for 4 years now. Soon we will be relocating again because the school system isn’t ideal, especially for small children. The rent in all parts of Trenton has gone up substantially. Homes that used to be $750-$1000 are now $1,500-$1,800...even up to $2,000 (which doesn’t make sense since more than half of them are not nicely renovated and are certainly not worth that price!). However, you can tell they’re trying to restore the neighborhoods. I hope they succeed in bringing the capital back to its original beauty but all they’ve accomplished thus far is pushing the locals out with their high unaffordable prices. "

"I personally love it here!! It's quit nobody is standing in the hallways or blocking the doorways. I feel secure with the code system on the front of the building. And the garden in the back is my favorite place to take pictures lol. Oh yeah and love the fact that you have a garage for your car.👌"

  • Arielle Rivera
"Not all houses have sufficient backyards for pet owners. It would also be in both the owner and dogs best interest if the animal isn’t left outside unattended. With that aside, there is an array of dog friendly parks close by and with Philly being only 25 mins away the options are endless activity wise. "

"This is not an ideal area for children. The streets are not well lit and there is a lot of illegal activity throughout the community. Lots of abandoned properties."

  • Nicoleknolan
"Neighborhoods are drug and crime infested. Abandoned properties are home to drug addicts. The trash align the streets. The loud noise gunfire and fights makes for a movie."

"Trenton isn’t what it used to be but we are trying to make a comeback. The neighbors are generally friendly and look out for one another. "
