7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible school. The teachers are the bullies. The principle has no control. The teachers don't care about teaching students, they are just getting a pay check so they can live near a ski resort. They would rather play than work. We left Steamboat because of the education system in Colorado. We found that Texas education standards are much higher and the teacher actually care for their students. Getting out of Steamboat schools was the best decision we may have ever made for our children.Other Review4y ago - Strawberry Park Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is great for 80% of kids, if your children fall above or below the average, this school does not meet your needs. We have had two kids go through the school, both of whom were bullied very badly. The staff and principal/assistant principal did not follow up on any of it, and were annoyed at our persistence after our children were assaulted multiple times. Over the last couple of years, the talk around town has even been that parents could tell which kids were from this elementary school versus the other, by watching the children's show of respect. Respect is not a priority at this school. If your child is sensitive about the way they are treated, I would chose another school.Other Review7y ago - Check out schools near 22984 County Road 54.

"It’s nice, people are friendly, it’s beautiful all year round! Wish there was more than just local expensive shopping. Other than Walmart and City Market there aren’t too many other options for shopping. "

"This is not a pet friendly community. Almost all rental units forbid dogs and most of the home owners here are second home owners and do not actually live here. Therefore, if you are going to live here full time be aware that the city does not like dogs. Though most of the residents here do. "

"One of the more sought after neighborhoods, 3 minutes to town and 5 minutes to Mtn are. The landscaping is mature."
- Will S.

"We just moved here and we love it. It's close to everything. The "Core Trail" is seconds away, there is a bus stop right here and the Walton Creek is right across the street. We have a dog and it's great to jump on the core trail and walk around with no worries of vehicles. We can even jump on ur bikes and head downtown or up to the ski area. It's the best!"
- Mike W.

"This area continues to evolve as a summer and winter pedestrian-friendly neighborhood as well as a resort mecca. Base area planning includes a new waterway along Burgess Creek and summer recreation opportunities in the gondola plaza area. Some of Steamboat's best restaurants are walking distance and the nearby transit area buses will get you to the major supermarkets within five minutes, and downtown in 10."
- Norbert T.

"This part of Steamboat is up the hill from Soda Creek and out of the main flow of traffic...what little there is anyway. The lots are larger and mostly south-facing, providing great views of Mt. Werner (Storm Mountain). The lack of a true through-road keeps traffic to local access only. This area is a true find."
- Monroe H.

"Beautiful area with strong community feeling and many ties of recreation including world class ski area."
