2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMVHS students have made tremendous improvements since Principal Ms. Pauline Pearce took over the position. There are very few disputes between students as in the past. Ms. Pearce strict no-nonsense rules are great improvement to students & parents. "Great neighborhood, not a lot of loud noises only when people have get togethers. Area is well kept, neighbors are friendly and care about one another. I’ve lived in the pelham manor area for almost 8 years on and off and a lot of shopping areas are in close proximity to houses. "

"There are different sections of mount Vernon, some are great some are not great. For children the schools are poor due to poor funding. However most places in Mount Vernon are nice to live in."

"Moved to the neighborhood in 2017. Its not the best nor the worst but Mount Vernon has a lot of work to do in putting in the investment to clean up the facade of the city. I feel safe, neighbors are friendly and convenient to shopping center, public transportation and Pelham close by. "
