6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm not a huge sample size since I just have one child attending this school, but it has been pretty good. We've had to move with this crazy economy (more than once, unfortunately) and had no troubles enrolling and re-enrolling here. It was easy to get discreet low income lunch accommodations (all students receive free lunch at time of writing) and the one time my kid had conflicts with another child and didn't feel heard by their teacher, it was very easy to reach the teacher to get a more in depth report of what had transpired and resolve the situation fairly and promptly. It gives me a huge sense of relief as a parent that my child is not stressed to go to school and that if an in-class student begins bullying them, it is actually stopped. We've had a very good experience with the band program here! They do not provide one on one lessons during study halls like my school did when I was young myself, but for what they are capable of, they care -a lot- about how the kids are doing and have regular concerts to show off their skills and expose them to high school playing as well to sample how different grades are doing. The show-pieces they choose for concerts are varied and super fun, so there is just a little traditional and a lot of unique memorable pieces that can include the current skill level of the budding musicians. If I had to pick something to complain about, it would be the bus. It arrives consistently at the same time all year with typically only a five minute variation (in town), but kids have been rough to each other or more frequently, the bus is basically driving away with kids standing. It doesn't wait longer than three seconds before heading off and I've watched SO many children including my own -at the door of our house trying to open it- miss the bus. It was bad these last two years, but is doing somewhat better now.Parent Review8mo ago - Check out schools near N 371st Rd.
