I have had 2 children attend this school and they could not have enjoyed it more. What I think this school excels in is making going to school a positive experience and sets them up for enjoying school in the future. This school is part of the Reedsburg SD and nearly closed 2 years ago due to budget problems. Instead, it was turned into a K-3 school (eliminating 4 and 5, which all were consolidated to Pineview). Since it is so small ALL students know each other and all teachers know every student in the entire school (this includes all support staff, library, art and music, etc). The only area that I find unsatisfactory with the school is their ability to challenge children that work above grade level. This is a problem that is not unique to this public school. The school provides interventional services for those that fall below grade level but does not do much for those student who excel. This school is open to parent involvement in the classroom and has a very warm and inviting faculty. Class size is generally 18 or fewer (last year's 3rd grade had 13 students, all of whom had gone to school together since Kindergarten). This is really a gem of a school.

One of the best in the area! We loved RAHS. My daughter did so well there, her teachers were terrific and they DO offer a great deal of programs geared toward future college goals. Not sure why anyone would say otherwise, as now that we have moved we no longer have the options Reedsburg offered. They do offer Accounting 1 & 2, Intro into Health Occupations, as well as a lot more. We are not wealthy and my daughter was never made to feel any differently than anyone else. She has a very good attitude and great personality, so maybe it is all perspective? I would love for her to finish out her last two years at Reedsburg, but with moving this is no longer an option. We will really miss it and can only hope she gets the same level of education and support that she did there. Good job RAHS, you ROCK :)
