I love the brand new hospital up the way in beautiful Gold Beach , I just hope they can expand more on our medical center/urgent care/ER. Doctors are thorough and not rush rush! I love not tax! Beaches, forests, streams and waterfalls, rivers, hiking, boating, fishing, photography and the Redwoods! If you're looking for fast-paced night life, or malls and city life - Brookings is not for you. If you love the outdoors, friendly people and a safe place to live - Brookings is truly an awesome place to live."

    "This is a great community and extremely pet-friendly. It's a great area for whale watching as it sits on a bluff above the northern end of beautiful Harris Beach. It is approximately 2 miles north of the center of Brookings. This makes this little piece of heaven a nice quiet, semi-secluded area within minutes of shopping, restaurants and parks. The Dawson Road area has deeded access to the ocean, so you can walk down several paths directly to the beach. I'm very happy to live here."
