9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot sure why the rating on this site is so low. Honolulu Magazine rates it higher. For 2015, it was ranked 50th out of 255 other elementary schools in the state. As a parent, I've also been impressed with this school. My daughter excels academically, and each year her teachers have put together resources to be able to challenge her with curriculum from higher grades.I've also been impressed with the focus on the school to get parent involvement in improving the school and bettering how the kids learn. That's how it's done when it's done right.Beyond academics, the school is also well-known for its great and thorough set of extra curricular activities. So, overall I've found that this school provides a well-rounded and academically sound education and I've been very happy with it!Parent Review8y ago - Pearl City High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePCHS is a good school academically because they have some of the best teachers however the school needs a new principal. Reason : He does not know how to community well with parents, he's very arrogant and also he never showed up to support any sports events unless a certain sport win. That is terrible. I just hope he will be replaced soon so the school will be much better.Parent Review5y ago - Highlands Intermediate School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are very pleased with Highlands. Communication with parents are tops with informing parents of children's progress and suggestions. From our experience the teachers were always avail to the parents n child. The access to website also gave parents a chance to see how the child was doing in class and did he/she need assistance from home in getting them on the right track. The daily comments from teachers were great. A special thank you to "All the staff at Highlands for caring and giving the children the special attention they needed to be productive in their everyday life at Highlands Intermediate. Etc: Principal, VP's, Teachers, Security, Maintenance and all others not mention that give the special "Caring" in their professions. Mahalo Nui LoaParent Review4y ago - Anuenue School
