The tenets of respect, responsibility and rigor are highly valued and help students to be successful in their academic and interpersonal endeavors. Metzger Elementary hosts one of two Bilingual (Spanish) programs in the Tigard-Tualatin District and its students are thriving. Reading and Math programs are solid and the Music program/instructor is far and away the Best in the District, if not the state. When my child began at Metzger, the Principal promised "We are going to love your kids." "Close to freeways, mall, trails, whole foods, restaurants, post office, shops, max, bus and more! Yet a quiet peaceful area with families all around. Great for someone that wants to be close to it all and someone that would like to walk/bike everywhere on trails and low traffic roads and yet someone that wants to "feel" away from it all. This area is growing and money is being put into it. The parks are being redone, trails are being expanded, high demand stores are going in and surrounding shopping areas are getting facelifts! Great place to invest in!"
