8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was utterly unimpressed with the TK program. Parents sympathized with teachers during covid knowing they had to pivot and go outside their comfort zones however there was hardly any communication, which should of been a top priority with students working from home. We were told they would need to do 2 hours of work solo at home however 90% of the time nothing was sent or established. I know myself and multiple parents asked about this and the teacher just kept saying how busy she was and couldn’t get to it. I know for a fact the curriculum was created and printed elsewhere so I’m not sure what she was busy with, especially since she wasn’t emailing parents or grading material. Her teacher didn’t utilize any of the online programs (that she had to setup) and was not supported at all by the administration to get trained to do so. My daughter wasn’t challenged and was on an iPad learning GoNoodle dances during precious in person time. She excelled in reading but during reading groups was excluded, which is fine for the teacher to focus on other struggling students, but she was never given additional reading instruction. I’m thankful we only had this teacher for TK and this wasn’t her Kindergarten yearParent Review2y ago - Monte Vista Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMonte Vista is one of the worst middle schools that I know of it was a mistake to send my kid to Monte Vista from the beginning of school year. His first school experience was very poor and escalate it from teachers to bullies to behavior health, or they will file and go to a judge and make your life really rough that they already have done to my family. I cannot stand Pleasant Valley school, Districk head of program Donna she is very vile. Nice to your face same for majority of the teachers. They’re their students from other cities that are at Monte Vista and that’s what makes it hard for the kids that are raised in Camarillo once you’re there because they are such a structure school they team up against you don’t allow your student out of the school because they don’t have any other programs at any other middle school. They team up on you once they don’t like a student they don’t like the student make it very rough for that student push parents into a corner where they don’t have a choice the school over exaggerates because they don’t want to deal with their students .Other Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 943 Jay Ave.

"I have lived in this area since 2011 and love living in Camarillo. My complex is like its own Shire... everyone is friendly and we are protected by trees. I feel as though if I were to go to a neighbor and ask for a cup of sugar I would get it and feel comfortable also coming back with some of what I baked as equal trade... "
