7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePinckney Community High School has been fantastic for our daughter. She is very ambitious and independent and has been doing a blend of online school (a partnership between the high school and a fantastic program called Michigan Virtual), some virtual classes with Pinckney teachers, and dual-enrollment college classes at Washtenaw Community College (both in-person and online) which give her college credits simultaneously while completing her high school curriculum. This flexibility has allowed her to do her school work from anywhere in the world and she has traveled to Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica while in school to learn about other cultures and practice her Spanish language skills. The partnership with Michigan Virtual allows her to be considered a full student at Pinckney Community High School and she has participated in 3 high school sports to stay connected with her peers. She also comes into the high school occasionally to do school work and meet with friends for lunch. She has maintained very stellar grades and we are excited for what her future will bring as she navigates the college application process. The teachers, staff and academic counselors are top-notch. I will also say that Pinckney has a phenomenal Superintendent of Education who has done a tremendous job at growing the schools' education programs, keeping the kids safe-from COVID and implementing measures for school safety overall. I'd also like to give a shout out to the Athletic Programs and staff--Pinckney students really excel in their sports for a small school. The athletic teams are doing very well (many have gone on to states and state championships) and many Pinckney athletes go on to play a sport in college (including my daughter who has multiple offers for volleyball and track). We also love how enthusiastic the students are at sporting events and how they support each other at events. My daughter claims that Pinckney has the best student section!Parent Review2y ago - Navigator School

"I live in a lake neighborhood. It’s tight lots with tall houses. The insides are nice, really beautiful, unique homes. The people are eccentric but extremely pleasant, nice people. I’m about to move out of my rental home but I’ve lived here for over a year now and my bike has been unlocked out back under auning since I moved in. No crime in Brighton, Mi."

"There aren’t many parks or activities/facilities to accommodate baby and parent gathering. You have to drive everywhere. If you look on yelp there is a terrible selection for delivery food, which is huge when you have babies and no time to cook."
