Welcome to this masterfully updated 3 bedroom, 2 bath Schnitzelburg home that radiates with charm, artful detail, timeless quality, and a big, bright, open layout that evokes smiles as you flow into every meticulously designed room. If homes have an energy or ''vibe,'' this one is glowing and immaculate. Schedule a showing and you'll see. Even as you first pull into the driveway and step out onto the whimsical (new) paved curved walkway leading to the inviting front porch and arched front doorway, you'll notice beautiful touches at every glance. For example, the entryway coat closet has its own wood framed window with a little shelf. This beautifully curated home is a perfect blend of new while also preserving all of the classic charm and character of its original design. The list of updates are extensive. Here we go: New HVAC in 2022, a complete gut remodel of the upstairs primary bathroom, stylishly renovated primary closet, renovated first floor bathroom, and a sensational new kitchen which included opening up a wall, adding new GE slate appliances, new quartz countertops, new cabinetry with soft close doors, a quartz sink and more. Fresh paint throughout, a new privacy fence in the back, tasteful landscaping all around, and new ceiling fans were also added in every bedroom as well as the living room. An inviting mother-in-law suite was also added to the basement along with a bonus kitchenette area. Even the covered back porch seating/mud room area was smartly renovated. This is a truly special home that was thoughtfully updated and meticulously cared for. No proverbial stone was left unturned and the quality of each update shines through every room. The future owners will certainly feel the love as they enjoy all of the improvements noted above, along with the timeless natural hardwood floors, arched interior doorways, the abundance of storage space, the versatile yard, the garage in the back and we can't forget this wonderful neighborhood as well. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of a student with an IEP, I can say that the actual therapists at this school are great in what they do. My child made great progress with the therapists, but when it came to interactions with other students in the classroom, there were several misunderstandings on the teachers part. It seemed that my child was always sent home with negative remarks. And yet when I was able to communicate with my child in regards to those interactions, there were several misunderstandings. When informing my child’s teacher of those misunderstandings, it was made as if my child was the main issue, when clearly with my child’s IEP, the situations could have been handled differently. My child was bullied and did not feel heard at this school. The principal is great and he does his best to be compassionate with families but In the end, there are so many students at this school per classroom with special needs (as well as with several language barriers) that it is very hard for the teachers to give each child the needed attention. Therefore, their desire to participate in everyday classroom activities is not really there. There is a teacher here that is fairly new in their career which makes me wonder if that’s the reason why the ball was dropped with my child. Overall, I will not be re-enrolling my child at this school.Parent Review2y ago - Seneca High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm only in the first day 7th grade so this opinion might well change, but I'll say it anyway. My 6th grade teachers were absolutely phenomenal and I would definitely take it again (21-22 class, in the Explorers team) given the chance. I cannot stress enough how great the teachers were. I wish Meyzeek did the same looping style as Highland Middle I don't really know what to feel about my 7th grade teachers, but thus far, they seem good enough - certainly very energetic and welcoming of the students, which brings me to my primary concern about the school. The teachers and staff are fine, given a few biased exceptions. What isn't so great is the students. You will encounter name-calling, fighting, and horseplay around every corner you turn. The staff are trying to proactively resolve this problem and do have security cameras in place to identify students involved in potentially more dangerous tussles. Not just this, but the restrooms. The restrooms appear pretty good in 6th grade, but once you move to 7th, the doors become very, very short. It's not that big of a deal, considering it's the case with a good number of other JCPS schools, but the difference is pretty shocking when you've become used to the "better" ones (a very broad term - it depends on what kind of bathroom shenanigans students decide to pull, leaving the poor janitor to clean it up. He deserves a raise.) The lunch food is the same as everywhere else, but if you've been eating school lunch for multiple years, you won't get the extreme bouts of food poisoning mentioned in other reviews (to my experience, at least). One newly introduced rule is the ban of hoodies and I feel that this is a step in the wrong direction, but certainly a good way to prevent people from wearing hoods so often - another problem in the school, albeit it doesn't mean much to students. The arrival and dismissal is generally pretty smooth. I don't think I have anything else to say, but one thing you should watch out for is lines. They're generally pretty chaotic, given there's not a teacher watching over them at all times.Student Review1y ago - Check out schools near 883 Clarks Ln.
