4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter had a terrible experience in kindergarten . Her teacher very mean, she would cry everyday she didn't want to go. She said teacher made her hold to go to the bathroom. Very disappointed in leadership for not even taking parents concerns seriously and always siding with the teacher. Not sure what my daughter actually retained due to being in a stressful environment that year. The teacher posted in the classroom every students reading level, which only discouraged my daughter instead of motivating her. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHaving spent two years at Goff the teachers and the programs are very good, especially the music department. The school is kind of run down and some of the teachers might not teach as well as others, but the principal and teachers always work hard to bring a satisfactory experience to the students. Sometimes students believe some of the teachers are not teaching as well as they should and any complaints get acknowledged but I have personally never heard of any of these issues being addressed unless a parent contacts the teacher directly or contacts the principal.Student Review11mo ago - William E. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student from Tolman High School, I can say from experience that if it wasn't for attending this high school I wouldn't be who I am today. Because of Tolman, I got to network and meet leaders in Rhode Island Criminal Justice System. Tolman gave me an internship in which I could of never imagined would make an ever lasting connection. Now I am in my Junior year of College studying law and proceeding to go to Law School after I graduate. Tolman is a very diverse school, and because of that I learned to communicate and work with other people of different races. Of course like many know, Tolman does have bad apples and people who don't care about their education. However, in my years at Tolman, every teacher motivated me and pushed me to my limits. The portfolio gave me a way to display my hardwork but also it prepared me for the workforce. I know that some students that graduated in 2010 with me can say the same. I have been asked to go back to Tolman and speak to the students about my experience and what doors it opened up for me. If any one does have any questions, email me. "This area has very easy access to 95 along with a close commuter rail service. Commute to work just outside of Boston for me is generally 40 minutes. "

"I've lived here for 50 years. The character of the neighborhood has changed from owners, to renters. Nobody talks to each other anymore. Violent crimes are common. Slater Park lost all of its large animals due to neglect. The PawSox are leaving in one year. The city's largest employer - Hasbro - is leaving. The city's local hospital - Memorial - closed down 2 years ago. Famous local restaurants have mostly closed, only to be replaced by a "dollar store." The city is in serious decline, with property values certain to follow."

"Not a lot of open spaces for dogs to run around. Roads are no busy so you can walk them throughout the entire neighborhood. "

"I’m new to this neighborhood but it seems like a nice quiet neighborhood and people seem really friendly here. I see lots of people walking there dogs in the evenings, people take really good care of there yards. "

"I've lived here for over 11yrs and I love the area. Its very convenient to everything, shopping, highways, train. With the fuel cost you'll be happy your in a central but quiet location. "

"Pinecrest is probably the 2nd best neighborhood in Pawtucket, but in many ways, much more comfortable, convenient and affordable. You can buy a home in Pinecrest for many thousands of $ less than across the border in MA, or in Countryside, and taxes are lower than Countryside and MA too! Great Elementary Schools, Jr. High/HighSchool is good, Excellent access to Private and Catholic Schools in RI and MA. Great Neighborhood...Houses appreciate in value. Buy if you can!"
