4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI find this school truly amazing. They have many fun clubs to choose from, the teachers are overall great, and there's a lot to learn. They offer a program titled the Challenge Program, for students who are more academically gifted, to offer a better learning experience to suit their learning ability. I am a part of this program, and I must say, it is astounding. Anyone in the Challenge Program will still move through the normal curriculum, but much faster, and afterwards will start learning subjects a grade level above them. They have the same people in each class, making it much easier to bond with others. The Challenge Program is a really good place to check out for academically gifted kids. Back to my overall thoughts on this school, the teachers respect you and try their best to give you a good learning experience, and East's students do great at tests. It's heartbreaking that East is closing next year, but at least the Challenge Program will be moved to another school.Student Review1y ago - Grand Junction High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe were very pleasantly surprised by GJHS. We were nervous about high school, but the teachers really seem to care, the counselors are ready and willing to help give guidance, and there are a plethora of academic, social, and extracurricular opportunities, as long as you and your child are willing to look into them. We have also been very impressed with the amount of concurrent college opportunities available. Students are expected to follow-through with their assignment and late work, but that should be expected at this age. I've heard parents complain that teachers don't remind the kids or parents. They shouldn't have to at this point in the kid's development. The students have 1 person to be responsible for, while the teachers have over a hundred students. There is the good and bad within every organization or group of humans, but GJHS is a good school.Parent Review1y ago - Chipeta Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagemy daughter is really happy at this school, the staff are all great people. teachers are good in communicating with parents and childrens are safe at the building.. really happy..the only concern my daughter has it is about the food Not good at all. she saids a lot a kids prefer to go back home with an empty stomach after a long day at school because they do not like the lunch menu. hope they can do something about it. this will make it a 5 starz school.Parent Review13y ago - Check out schools near 859 Struthers Ave #203.

Many sidewalks to walk ur dog and nice neighborhood to walk around in general. Dogs are not permitted to be kept on a leash so if you’re dog can run around without a leash safely then u can do so. This neighborhood is also family friendly."
