"I lived in this neighborhood for two years after living in the north side of Spokane for three. I was skeptical about living in Airway heights until I got settled in. The time I spent on my commute was refreshing, its minutes from the interstate. The are two supermarkets minutes from home. As for entertainment, there are few places where you can walk to a movie theater and a casino on the same night in Airway Heights you can. If you are going to work at FAFB you can't beat this area. You get way more for your money than base housing can ever dream of offering. Avoid snowy commutes from the anywhere else in town, forget traversing hills to get to work. Living on Airway heights ensures a nice calm drive to work on the worst day."
