9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt was not a great experience. We actually wish we chose a different school, but it’s hard to change once your kids are settled. Happily, our youngest kid is heading to Middle School next year, so we can leave Milton behind. They have done well academically, however, they feel like they didn’t do well. You will need to pay for tuition to have your kid perform at the highest levels. Teachers seem to downgrade performance at the start so that it looks like they ‘progressed’ the kids more than might actually be the case. This school teaches to the test and lessons are often very uninspiring for kids.If you are not part of the Country Club set, you will probably be better off in another school. Osborne and Midland are far more welcoming, I hear.Milton is tucked away on a quiet street, with a nice play area, lots of fresh air and a modern building with A/C.Parent Review4y ago - Rye High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOne of the most run-of-the-mill high schools. Leaders keep changing. Most academic programs are mediocre, some sports teams are good, very little support for special needs children. Be prepared to sue the school district to get accommodations. Also, if diversity matters to you, this is an all-white school staff and a pretty white town.Parent Review1y ago - Rye Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI honestly didn't like this school at all. I have to deal with rude people who make stupid and ignorant jokes. New kids often feel the pressure of being the perfect "rye child". Which is not for everyone.Other Review9y ago - Check out schools near 80 Elmwood Ave.
