8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIneffective administration has a trickle down effect and they choose to do nothing about it. They brow beat teachers who in turn lose their enthusiasm. Test scores and morale among students and teachers have never been lower. You can see it in their faces. In a school this small, the principal should know every kids’ name...not here though. Two of my kids were honors and AP and the kids from Mt. Sinai and other neighboring districts ran circles around them in college. That was the inspiration for this review. All of the pieces fell together when my twins revealed how their Hs experience really was in retrospect. "Cars fly down my block 100 miles and hour. Radio ave Miller place the worst block in Miller place although nice homes , not a kid friendly block Many dogs on this block but not safe to walk on the street "

"Moved to Miller Place from Amityville Village. I'm glad we made the move. This area is everything I could have hoped for. The taxes are high, but this is a problem throughout Long Island and is not specific to this area."

"Live here, never have problems except when it snows! The town contractors are poor at real snow removal, and don't pay attention to detail like mailboxes, curb lines etc. otherwise it's a great area to live in"

"living here has been great! but as I get older, I need to downsize and get away from the maintenance of a house, the area is wonderful, our woods is alive with natural deer, possum, raccoons, cats, and all sorts of other small creatures! Like having your own conservation area."
