2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is the worst school, teacher don’t respect students but want children to respect them, my child is sick each day to go to this school the teacher is emotionally and mentally u supportive to my child which I had to give her mental help the teacher let a student bully my child daily when I speak up about it nobody cares my daughter and teacher got into a argument the teacher grab my daughter wrist and then hit the teacher my daughter protected herself and got expel for a month nobody cared about my child, these teachers only want dominance and control and they are narcissistic. The students are amazing, friendly, caring, kind, smart, talented, and hard working. The teachers are committed and professional. 1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have graduated from this school and have since graduated from high school and am now in college. I am a Penn state student. This is why my review is at a 2 star, however I am fairly certain I am the only student from my year of graduation who went to college or even trade school. I would say that some teachers in this school are very good like Mrs. Proietto and Mr. Gough but others were definitly not. I love this school and want to visit soon to see my old teachers and I would recommend this school if living in or near the lovejoy area (would not recommend If any other middle school is closer however)Other Review2y ago - International School

Kids that are bullies are well liked and favored by the teachers. While actually good and quiet students are ignored and given half assed rewards. Some of the teachers that are actually nice are way to easy going and can’t control their class. While teachers that are strict are way too strict. I wouldnt recommend this school to anyone AT ALL!! they suspended a kid in my grade knowing he didnt do anything wrong, what happened: some 8th grades put some firecrackers in his backpack while he went to the bathroom, when he picked it up it opened and fell and firecrackers came out. he got suspended the day of the field trip that he badly wanted to go too. they refused to check the cameras because it took "too long" to check them. they check one clip of the boys putting the firecrackers in his backpack but thought it was a set up. the suspended the him for a week and the boys that put it in his bag for only 2-3 days. keep in mind that the kid from my grade is in 6th grade and the boys that put the fire crackers in his bag were in 8th grade and even ADMIITED that they did it.Parent Review1y ago - West Hertel Elementary School

"we don't have any community events in my area the only time we have anything on my block is when I do a barbeque or just cook I do it for family and some time I will invite a few of my neighbors I would love to have special events and block club parties on my street"

"Stores within 2 minutes alot of amenities are available for most anything you may need. Restaurants,neighbors,5 minutes to downtown and several different on ramps to highway in whatever direction you may need. I highly recommend this area for younger parents,couples,singles whatever. The people are great,neighbors very friendly and helpful. "

"this a very dangerous area alot of gang and drug violence not safe to raise or start a family. I know cause I used to live on every street including this one in the neighborhood. BEWARE "

"It’s not safe at all in this neighborhood cars don’t stop at stop signs people are rude and nasty kids are disrespectful and it’s scary to walk down any of there streets and there’s hookers every where and police ride by like it’s okay so a lot of people is scary around here and you can’t let your kids play outside it’s just side ."

"I don't really have neighbors cause so many abandoned houses if you have a locking garage and have bright lights then park in there car could be stolen or stripped by morning. There are alot of stores within walking distance just don't walk alone or with a lot to carry and never any cash and lock all doors and windows at night and when your not home."
