5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFOR ALL THOSE PARENTS CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR CHILDREN ATTENTING THIS SCHOOL FALL 2013- YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOO! BECOME INVOLVED WITH THE SCHOOL AND YOUR CHILD S EDUCATION. THE MORE PARENTS WE HAVE WHO CARE THE FASTER THIS SCHOOL WILL MEET THE STATE REQUIREMENTS. DON'T COMPLAIN AND NOT DO ANYTHING. DO SOMETHING AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE EDUCATION YOUR CHILD RECEIVES. PLEASE SEE MY REVIEW OF THIS SCHOOL. This is my son's first year of school and his kindergarten teacher is one of the greatest people I have met. My son was diagnosed with ADHD this year and his teacher and the Vera French worker have been the best support team for us. They have continued to work with my son and thru this entire school year and at the beginning of the year he barely met the requirements and now he is passing all test and meeting all goals. We are looking forward to this coming school year and learning even more great things at Fillmore!Parent Review10y ago - Wood Intermediate School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagemy review on the school is that teachers don't know how to teach. they are always pulling students out because of stuff that they did not do. all teachers do is show kids video and think they can do all the work. some kids don't learn like that and need to talk about it or read. overall this school is really bad. pls do not go.Student Review1y ago - North High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDavenport North High School is a great school. My son currently goes there and is in the dual enrollment program. He is also involved in athletics. The teachers and administrators truly care about their students and there is a noticeable change in the culture there. The school is safe and the kids feel comfortable. The athletic teams are starting to have more success and big part of that is the great feeder program that has been developed over the past few years. The feeder program is now the envy of all the Davenport schools. So far, it's been a very positive experience for my son and I'm looking forward to what lies ahead for him.Parent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 710 W 63rd St.

"Driving from the middle of town to the east side to drop my child at daycare, then drive downtown takes 15-20 minutes in the morning. Going from downtown to the north part of town in the afternoon takes 10."

"It’s a peaceful little area still close to businesses. I see dogs being walked all the time. I had the chance encounter of finding a dog in the area as well and was able to readily return him with a well labeled tag."

"Watch for idiot drivers, as well as random kids on 4 wheelers. It's not as bad as some neighborhoods and better than most. "

"Everyone has at least 2 dogs. Our block alone is home to 17! We also have a very narrow street and people park their motorhomes right in front of their houses. And there's always at least one guy shooting off fireworks, no matter the time of year. it's a hoot. "

"There is a church up the street from us so I wouldn’t know what kind of community events go on ,but we do have trick or treat we have the crowds do vary every year."

"Lots of children play in the area, the park is a safe and popular area, and the majority of the properties are well maintained? The only negative i have for the area, is that cars seem to travel a bit faster than i would like with all the children who roam the neighborhood. "

"It’s quiet there are good neighbors we have 2 acres so it’s not like we live in the city when we are in our back yard. Stores are very close by and the high school is only 2 blocks away. We have had minimal issues with any crime and what we have had has been very minor. "

"I grew up in this neighborhood and have been back here for 3 years. I love our little West End community. People are friendly, and look out for one another. But they also just let you do you and they don't sweat the small stuff. They mind their own business, and yet care about one another. It's a great neighborhood for laid back people."
