9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWonderful school! Teachers, administrators, and staff care so much for the students. I never had emotional issues (that needed immediate attention) but I know others who did and when I told an adult they would immediately act on the situation. I would change my mind all the time about my schedule and my counselor would make all the changes I wanted and was very understanding. The school is very clean. If anyone complains about the cafetera being dirty it’s because student’s DON’T clean up after themselves and think their mom’s are going to come to the school and clean for them. I was fine with the cafeteria food, I got free lunch anyways. Conant has all the activities and clubs you could possibly think of and if there is something you are interested and they don’t have it, it’s very easy to start a club, you just need to ask! I love how engaged administrators and staff were. Also, I don’t understand why people complain about parking pass being expensive. That is clearly a privilege and a luxury in high school that not everyone needs! I took the bus all four years and I had no issue with it, it did not affect my development as a teenager. I was grateful for my school and have no complaints. I graduated with good grades and I was an average student.Other Review2y ago - Lincoln Prairie School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHomework: They do give more homework than I’ve heard other schools give, however, throughout my years attending this school they have been decreasing the load as per parent complaints. I experienced a lot of stress with the homework load 4-8 grade, but time management and self advocacy were highly valued, along with student emotional/mental well-being, so I always received any adjustments I needed through compromise or simple communication. The content of the homework was really good. It wasn’t just worksheets and busywork, but creative projects and assignments that were very stimulating and dived deeper into the subject. Every assignment was to learn and understand, not just to have something to grade. For parents of future or current students of this school: when homework gets overwhelming, encourage your child to talk to their teacher about it or use it as an opportunity to teach productivity or time management. These are things the school heavily focused on, but it still took time for us to grasp the concept of being responsible our academic careers.Teachers: The teachers are excellent and very caring. They teach their classes well and are always open to providing extra help with any challenges a student may have. Both academically and emotionally, these teachers are very supportive. Not every teacher and student can click, so if your child is unable to make a connection with one teacher, they are exposed to many other adults in the building that they can seek for help.Leadership and Character: Teachers and staff exhibit leadership and teach it to students. LP is very community-centric, so having and making leaders is critical. I left this school understanding that the main quality of a leader was not to attract followers, but to create more leaders. LP builds strong character in students by providing opportunities for self discovery and lots of role models in the community. They teach kindness, courage, and self-sufficiency.Learning Differences: Accommodations are always made for disadvantaged students. Students with learning differences always had teachers with them and were involved in classes, but students who just fell behind in class did not receive as much attention as they should have. Bullying: I didnt experience much first-hand, but I wont ignore that it was present in this school as much as any other school. Teachers take care of it when it’s reported and we have anti-bullying assemblies to combat it.Parent Review2y ago - Fairview Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is the worst school for a middle school. Fights happen almost everyday, smoking and drugs are a huge thing, and bullying is just not okay. I have a nephew that comes saying that he has told a teacher he has gotten bullied and they do nothing about it. Some students have weapons and hot lunches are cold and I heard that his mom talked to his school about his food allergies and the hot lunch people gave him an ice cream when he is allergic to dairy. Which he diden’t even order. I hear about daily fights that happen. Students are doing drugs and the punishment is normally a detention I hear. Which does nothing to help. This school is terrible.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 701 Rohlwing Rd #2-ID594.
