Both of my kids are in Spanish immersion, and we have had great experiences with all the teachers. The principal is very communicative, PTA is active, and a new Parent foundation began in 2022 with big plans for the future. We have lived in the neighborhood for 8 years... 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a great school. My son has done very well, and standards are kept high. The teachers are highly qualified and professional. This is a very large school with a lot of kids, and no school is perfect, but this comes close. I'm looking forward to having my other son start there in a couple of years. There is also assistance in getting prepared for college for anyone who needs it. There is tutoring available, as well as Saturday school and summer school. There are social activities, dances, clubs, ROTC, and more. "Lots of people walk their dogs here and there are plenty of parks and sidewalks. I did have one experience were a neighbors dogs were unleashed and came running across the street at me- one of them bit me. I’m new here so I’m hoping this is not a normal occurrence. "

"I moved here two years ago. I enjoy walks around Lake Murray and Mission Trails Regional Park. Neighbors keep to themselves mostly, but do wave hello. Neighborhood has many dog-walkers. Quiet and peaceful here, with lots of birds, bunnies and lizards. Crime is low, but lots of car break-ins. We were burglarized after 3 months and consider a home security system a must."

"it used to be a great place to live but now theres gangs and shooting and store robberies..to bad the apartment complex i live in lets anyone live here. ao our complex has been on the new 3 times in 5 years for a murder and a gang stabbing over gym space and a fugitive hiding here."

"I've lived in this neighborhood for over 40 years and truly enjoy the people who live here in San Carlos. This is a very active community, hiking, biking, jogging and running you see it all around you. Cowles Mt. Trails and Lake Murray are walking distance to my home. Oh and yes you can walk to stores and eateries too."
