They have so many different classes for students to choose them as they go up in grade. All of the teachers that I have met have been great and truly want to help the kids succeed. There are also so many groups and clubs for the kids to participate in. They keep parents in the loop and involved. I get most schools have this problem but my daughter was physically assaulted twice within a month. The administration tried to get her expelled the second time because she fought back! The administration is terrible, the SRO is terrible and clueless and some teachers are very unprofessional! It’s not a nurturing environment at all, which is what they still need at this age. They are overly strict for no reason and will try to get a student in the most trouble as possible! They will yell and curse in a students face! I get that some kids at this school are animals but that doesn’t mean you have to treat every kid like an animal! My daughter transferred and has never been happier! Each person that I have come in contact with truly wants to be there and cares deeply for the children. Honestly I was worried about sending my son to such a large school being that he hard a rough year last year at a different school but I couldn't have made a better choice. My son is so happy and tells his teacher that he loves her on a regular basis. He has learned far more than my expectations and is eager to learn more. Homework is easy because he wants to do it, there is not fight in the morning to get dressed or head out the door. He is happy and I cant thank the school enough for that.Parent Review5y ago

"Don’t trust the judicial system. St.Tammany parish is all about that money honey! Property taxes are ridiculously outrageous! It seems after hurricane Katrina, a lot changed. New people, new attitudes, new accents, and covington grew into a concrete jungle. I live in the north rural part of Covington. It was a quiet town, but it seemed as if everyone knew on another or a family member etc. Parents: the schools are ridiculous now. They do not teach cursive writing in school anymore... I suggest homeschooling your children or sending them to a private school. "
