3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 kids at Ocosta and one getting ready to start Kindergarten. The teachers and staff here are amazing, caring, and create a culture of love and learning. The community passed a school bond in 2015 to build a new school that incorporates the first Tsunami Vertical Evacuation tower in the USA!! The new school facility is fantastic and my kids love going to school here. There is a robust after school program and breakfast, lunch & dinner program as well. The district hosts monthly family fun nights (dinner and an activity) for parents and teachers to work together, they sponsor the Missoula Children's Theater each year, and many many other activities in conjunction with the PTO (parent group). The biggest challenge is dealing with a very small and rural population. With only 300ish kids covering a huge geographic area (from John's River to the Marina to Tokeland), some logistical issues can be difficult.Parent Review7y ago - Ocosta Junior - Senior High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a highschool freshman, I have seen worse schools, however it feels unwelcoming to people who didn't grow up in such a tiny area, much like myself. Only some of the staff care about students while the rest care about last night's game or coaching a sport. It isn't friendly to families that aren't focused on athletics and some both previous and current working staff promoted bad behavior from students.Student Review5y ago - Check out schools near 67 Ocosta 3rd Street.
