N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageShapleigh Memorial is an amazing school. The staff is caring, compassionate, and professional. They work hard as a team to meet the individual needs of the children. There is a big focus on building empathy for one another, learning from mistakes and being kind. In being such a small school, everyone knows every child by name and they really become like a family. During Covid, the school remained open, providing families with either a remote or in-person experience. The majority of the students is a whole different story though, however. Gossip is common in this school and this might be of concern to some parents. "I live out in the country. There is NO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. most of the time I enjoy the fact that we are so far from town but after waiting for an ambulance last summer I get nervous about living where I do. It’s beautiful out here on the lake. I’m surrounded by nature and a few chipmunks. Our neighbors are friendly and enjoy the lake life. But the commute sucks"
