Wake up, Wake Forest! A refreshingly modern take on sweet suburban living is sprouting on the cusp of Downtown. Welcome to Forest on Franklin. This twelve-townhome collection was crafted by local building experts and curated to complement the existing community. But don’t mistake its cohesion as being cookie-cutter. These boutique builds break from typical farmhouse-styling to embrace a refined twist on tradition, emboldened by modern accents at every turn. While every home is equipped with two-car garages, screened-in patios and ample flex space, three distinct plans offer differing treatments for the 2,500+ SQ FT of light-flooded living space. From elevators (in select plans) to varying 3-4 BR options, each layout offers its own take on high-style, low-maintenance living. Intuitively hybrid. Holistically inclined. And with neighbors like Downtown WF & Falls Lake? Balancing work & play is a breeze. Embed yourself in the booming brewery culture, or break a sweat on the trails - there’s plenty to see only seconds away. Plus, commuter-friendly access to DTR & RTP guarantees you’re never far from the action.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience with this school has been horrible! My daughter has been going to this school since preschool up till third grade. I had to remove my daughter from the school after so many poor communication problems with 3 of the teachers and the head principal who seem to only care about her image as the principal rather than the concerns of the students and parents. Based on the horrible advice and several different conversations about my daughter’s tragic experiences I’ve had with the main principal. I realize I was getting nowhere in hopes of A change. My daughter would come home almost every day complaining about how she was being bullied and treated unfairly at that school.Parent Review2mo ago - Wake Forest High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not attend but from the outside looking in it seems that the school and school board are doing well and have handled the last few challenging years with caution and safe practices. I appreciate that.Parent Review1y ago - Wake Forest Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAvoid this school. 1. Bad academically, the school does have an improvement plan but still terrible. My daughter came from a highly-rated public school in Northern Virginia and academically has fallen behind in this school. 2. One of her girlfriends from a minority group was bullied. 3. Worst, social media threats are becoming recurrent. This is a disaster waiting to happen. We are pulling her out for the following school year.Parent Review11mo ago - Wake Early Coll Heal

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a terrible choice for parents and students looking for a supportive teachers. Teachers will rarely listen to or try to understand a student's point of view. The administration will ignore many student concerns without any investigation unless parents interfere. Many of the work handed is just busy work and rarely has an impact on student learning. There are some helpful teachers but there are even more cruel teachers. It's incredibly hard to fix grades that a student didn't deserve without parental interference. The courses offered are very restrictive as well.Student Review8y ago - Wake Nc State Univ Stem Early College High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had an amazing experience as a student at this school. This has made me not only ready for college but also the professional world. Throughout my four years here I was able to grow and learn through the help of the incredible students and staff. I can't wait to see what Wake STEM becomes.Student Review4y ago - Wake Young Men's Leadership Academy

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile we have had a few bumps getting our boy engaged, the leadership have been great partners with looking at options. This school is a college prep school so there is not an emphasis in the Arts, but more a focus on core curriculum. We love that there are male teachers teaching our boy as they provide examples of strong role models. We love the uniforms!Parent Review2mo ago - Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy

"People walk their dogs and for the most part, they’re responsible for the pet’s waste. Unfortunately, people are less tolerable of middle school age children and high schoolers simply being kids. "
- PegH

"A real sense of community. We all look out for each other; never is it as obvious as when the last bad storm came through. Everyone was out the next morning helping to clean up tree limbs and leaves from the entire cut-de-sac, not just their own yard, sharing tools, equipment and man power. "

"This is a good neighborhood to raise children. The only concern I would have as a parent of a teenager would be them learning to drive in heavy traffic"

"There are quite a few dog owners in my neighborhood. Most are responsible owners, but there are those that walk their dogs at night and allow them to relieve themselves in their neighbors yards. This is the part I dislike. I sit on my porch at night and you wouldn’t believe the things I see dog owners allow their dogs to do."

- Tenaye13

"It’s peaceful to walk your dog for the most part. However, there have been 2 occasions that 2 different dogs broke from the owner’s chain to get to other dogs. My dog was attacked by a pit bull who did just that. After watching a second dog break away from it’s owner, I no longer feel safe walking my dog during busy hours of the day. "
- Annaliza S.

"People walk their dogs day and night and always say “Hello” as they pass by. Dog walkers are very good about keeping their dogs on a leash as they walk them."
- Nat
- Resident

"It’s pet friendly. The biggest problem is getting blamed for other dogs’ mess. There are also a decent number of cars so dogs can’t run freely without a fenced in yard. However, there are a lot of houses with fenced in yards"
