3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAvoid this school. 1. Bad academically, the school does have an improvement plan but still terrible. My daughter came from a highly-rated public school in Northern Virginia and academically has fallen behind in this school. 2. One of her girlfriends from a minority group was bullied. 3. Worst, social media threats are becoming recurrent. This is a disaster waiting to happen. We are pulling her out for the following school year.Parent Review11mo ago - Jones Dairy Elementary

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a terrible choice for parents and students looking for a supportive teachers. Teachers will rarely listen to or try to understand a student's point of view. The administration will ignore many student concerns without any investigation unless parents interfere. Many of the work handed is just busy work and rarely has an impact on student learning. There are some helpful teachers but there are even more cruel teachers. It's incredibly hard to fix grades that a student didn't deserve without parental interference. The courses offered are very restrictive as well.Student Review8y ago - Wake Nc State Univ Stem Early College High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had an amazing experience as a student at this school. This has made me not only ready for college but also the professional world. Throughout my four years here I was able to grow and learn through the help of the incredible students and staff. I can't wait to see what Wake STEM becomes.Student Review4y ago - Wake Young Men's Leadership Academy

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile we have had a few bumps getting our boy engaged, the leadership have been great partners with looking at options. This school is a college prep school so there is not an emphasis in the Arts, but more a focus on core curriculum. We love that there are male teachers teaching our boy as they provide examples of strong role models. We love the uniforms!Parent Review2mo ago - Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy

"People walk their dogs and for the most part, they’re responsible for the pet’s waste. Unfortunately, people are less tolerable of middle school age children and high schoolers simply being kids. "
- PegH

"A real sense of community. We all look out for each other; never is it as obvious as when the last bad storm came through. Everyone was out the next morning helping to clean up tree limbs and leaves from the entire cut-de-sac, not just their own yard, sharing tools, equipment and man power. "

"A bit of traffic around 4:00 to 6:00pm. My neighborhood is gated and has a very nice, exclusive Country Club. My neighborhood has it’s very own private security service and they constantly patrol the neighborhood."

"This is a good neighborhood to raise children. The only concern I would have as a parent of a teenager would be them learning to drive in heavy traffic"

"There are quite a few dog owners in my neighborhood. Most are responsible owners, but there are those that walk their dogs at night and allow them to relieve themselves in their neighbors yards. This is the part I dislike. I sit on my porch at night and you wouldn’t believe the things I see dog owners allow their dogs to do."

"Dog parks are everywhere and it’s easy to get to trails and green areas but please clean up after your dogs "
- Tenaye13

"It’s peaceful to walk your dog for the most part. However, there have been 2 occasions that 2 different dogs broke from the owner’s chain to get to other dogs. My dog was attacked by a pit bull who did just that. After watching a second dog break away from it’s owner, I no longer feel safe walking my dog during busy hours of the day. "
- Annaliza S.

"People walk their dogs day and night and always say “Hello” as they pass by. Dog walkers are very good about keeping their dogs on a leash as they walk them."
- Nat
- Resident

"It’s pet friendly. The biggest problem is getting blamed for other dogs’ mess. There are also a decent number of cars so dogs can’t run freely without a fenced in yard. However, there are a lot of houses with fenced in yards"
