Welcome to this meticulously renovated home nestled on a serene and quiet street featuring impeccable upgrades and thoughtful design throughout. The charming covered porch is embraced by all new landscaping setting the stage for its charming exterior. Glass-paneled French doors welcome you into the inviting living room where inside, the entire interior has been freshly painted in Sherwin Williams designer colors, creating a modern yet warm ambiance. The original character of this century-old home has been lovingly retained, featuring refinished 100-year-old hardwood flooring with intricate inlays in the living and dining rooms, and beautifully restored trim work and glass door knobs throughout. A painted brick wood-burning fireplace graces the living room, complemented by a decorative archway leading to the dining room, complete with a convenient storage closet and a built-in hutch. The heart of the home is the brand new kitchen featuring custom soft-close white cabinets, a new faucet, custom porcelain tile backsplash, butcher block countertops, and stainless steel appliances, including a newer refrigerator & stove. Luxury vinyl plank flooring adds a touch of contemporary style, and a new Safavieh light fixture illuminates the space. The kitchen offers electric cooking and room for a small table. As you ascend to the second floor, you'll discover three generously sized bedrooms, each equipped with its own mini-split system and ceiling fan. The fully renovated bathroom features a professionally reglazed tub with a new faucet, a tile shower stall, a new vanity, toilet, and modern light fixtures. The primary bedroom boasts its own attached half bathroom with new flooring and a vanity. The home also offers an unfinished basement with walkout stairs and windows, providing additional storage. Outside, picket fencing adds charm to the shared driveway, leading to a detached garage. A brand-new ductless 21 Seer hyper heat pump and AC with five indoor zones and mini-splits throughout ensure year-round comfort. Other notable improvements & highlights to this home include newer windows, a 6-7-year-old roof, a newer 100 amp electric panel and service, PEX/PVC drain lines throughout most of the home, and a brand-new sump pump. Conveniently located near Melrose Country Club and Tookany Creek Park, this home is a rare find that seamlessly blends modern luxury with historic charm. Don't miss the opportunity to make it yours!

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have had an absolutely phenomenal experience at CES. While we have a new principal this year who is learning the ropes, our previous principal was absolutely wonderful. Administration aside, the teachers and support staff at CES are what truly make the school a fantastic one. During the pandemic, we had teachers show up at our house for individualize reading time held outside with our children, personalized gifts and thoughtful notes end up in mailboxes, and consistent and amazing teaching that I was privy to as I could overhear the classes as they were going on via Google Meet. The clubs and activities consistently offered, along with field trips, weekly email blasts, and consistent communication is something that we have tremendously valued along with the diversity at our home school. I'm actually sad that my 4th grader will be moving up to the lower middle school this year. Perfection doesn't exist, but our experiences at CES have come awfully close and we attribute that to the caring and dedicated teachers and support staff. Thank you so much.Parent Review2mo ago - Elkins Park School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student, I think I can speak correctly about the overall school. The current principal there Dr. Clark only cares about her "image" she does not interact with the students and when she does only to yell at them at the office door. She has rules in place that help but can be inconvenient and not helpful to most students. The overall school is poorly taken care of there is water leaking from the ceilings in the bathrooms and gym. For most of the bathrooms, there are locks missing from half of the stalls most of the stalls have inappropriate graphite on the walls that have been there since the 2021-2022 school year. Bullying is a nightmare if you are being bullied they tell you they will stop it but never do. Where most of the bullying goes on on the buses the people on the buses make a child's school day miserable. The kids will fight and throw stuff curse and bully anyone minding their own business. They let the kids off with a warning which does not work. There is little punishment and when they try punishment it never works. My friend had racist things said to her but they said "That is not ok we will talk to them about it". They tell them to stop they don't and they don't receive punishment. This has been an ongoing thing. The lunch is too long with short recess and they make you come in and sit down and make everyone quiet for 5 minutes then you can get your food which you should be able to do when you walk in and not have to wait to waste your recess. The teachers are pretty good some can be too much. When you are in 6th grade in music you have to do the "On tour Project" nobody wants to do it you are not even making music and they make you perform in front of two classes. This doesn't sound so bad but when a lot of kids today have social anxiety it can be too much. The students are quick to judge and talk about people none does anything about it. I will say you will make friends here that will be your friends for life but that Is one of the only things I look forward to.Parent Review1y ago - Cheltenham High School

"It is like a park. All gardens are tended and beautiful. We have a lot of birds. What I miss are the happy noises of children. There are no block parties , no get together with neighbors just with our next door. But it is close to Center City, where we find everything on the arts. Jenkintown is close with all the Restaurants and little store. But life here is expensive and only for people in their best and high earning years of their life. The schools are excellent so children are in good hands."
