7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGet ready... This is going to be long, brutally honest. Tucker is an okay school depending upon who you are. If you're extroverted & great at making friends with teachers & staff then you're set. You'll also always be well liked if you're willing to go WAY BEYOND on teacher appreciation even though most of those teachers don't appreciate anything they get. The series of principals that have paraded through there in the 8 years my numerous children have attended just cater to every whim of those whiny, unappreciative teachers who barely get involved with school matters, like events and such.If you're more introverted, & just like to volunteer at her kiddos school, you may or may not be accepted. Your wealth, status, & level of volunteerism will quickly sway someone's opinion of your quiet, shy demeanor. I have neither wealth nor status & am unable to volunteer much due to my job. My not being able to help much, actually destroyed a friendship alongside the help of a parent who's better liked than I. Before I had a job here, I volunteered ALL the time & was well liked but when my situation changed, so did the staffs opinions. The office staff has recently made a complete change. One secretary retired & the other was fired, then arrested. Yeah, you read that right. That terrible nurse is long gone, too. The new nurse & office staff is much friendlier. There've been SOME great teachers, some questionable ones, and others that I think should seriously consider a new profession, preferably one that doesn't involve children. I don't recommend this school to anyone, IF they can avoid it, but sometimes you just don't have a choice. Now, to reference some of the things on this page. The 15 to 1 student/teacher ratio is laughable. There's roughly 600 students & 22 teachers. Every classroom has only one teacher, including kindergarten, & each of those has anywhere from 20-30 students depending on the grade. Do the math; it's more than 15. The Pre-K students shouldn't be included in the ratio because they aren't actually part of Tucker. It's an income-based program that just happens to be held at Tucker. When the kids are ready for Kinder, they get sent off to their boundary school, 75% of whom won't attend Tucker. 95% of teachers have been there a while because they never get rid of anyone. I can't argue test results but basically every kid passes every grade. The demographic is pretty accurate. That's all I can say because I'm out of characters. Good luck, y'all!Parent Review1y ago - Elmwood Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school as a whole is great but for my son who is African American the experience has been terrible. His 6th grade year was full of bullying issues and kids making racial slurs that would never get addressed by the school. It even got to the point where teachers began retaliating against him after we complained to the administration about the teachers that wouldn’t report or address the issues my son would report to them. He didn’t want to transfer after his first year, because he’s made some wonderful friends and loves the athletes. But in year two, his 7th grade year, we’re already experiencing some of the same issues from the previous year. I since that there’s a lot of politics going on because I spoken to other parents who have experienced similar issues. This is not the school you want to send your kids to if they’re black! Just not a healthy and equally fair environment.Parent Review6mo ago - Rogers High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has amazing teachers, staff and students. The school has amazing facilities and continues to push the students academically. There are a lot of benefits living in NWA. You and your family can’t go wrong with the area or the school district.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 600 Prairie St.

"I live in the area, and it is a perfect central location for NWA. You can get anywhere to have a night out on the town with the family (Promenade and Pinnacle Hills Area) within 10 minutes, or to Party (Fayetteville with-in 15-20 minutes using Old Wire. The area as a whole surprised me moving from a big town. Friendly, family oriented area. Very well pleased with the decision to move to this area."
