This sentence is the foundation of my philosophy and is the catalyst for why I wanted to be in education. In an ever changing World, it is our duty to make sure that our children have the necessary skills, tools and knowledge they need in order to be vibrant, productive citizens of tomorrow. Through a level of rigor that will not only challenge our children academically, but also stimulate them to think outside of the box can we as Melwood educators guarantee that our children will be ready for the challenges to come. As principal, it is my passion to build, model and empower educators so that they can un-tap the secrets deep within our scholar’s minds.As Melwood’s instructional leader I am accountable to my scholars, practitioners and you for developing, articulating, and implementing a vision of learning that is shared by all. I promise to provide instructional leadership through transparency and by monitoring and aligning curriculum and instruction through the purposeful alignment to PGCPS’ ‘Promise of 2020’. If you don't want your child to be bullied if you want a teacher to listen to you and your concerns about your kids safety do not send them to James Madison Middle School in Upper Marlboro Maryland possible is horrible they lie and hide thing nurse is horrible security horrible please as a parent do not send your kids to the school it's in your School boundary do not send them there get a special transfer I had five kids go to this school horrible experience

The new Administrators need to be replaced with very good experienced and customer oriented staff. You supposed lead by example, so it not surprising how rude the school personnel are because the Principal, Assistant Principals, Security Sargent and staff. They were supposed be engaging with the parents (only if you agree with them) and students. If you don’t agree with them then they don’t help the parents or students. If you don’t help make their job easy by agreeing with them you get no help and they strategically do everything in their power even use students to go after other students to create a false narrative to have the student forced out of the school. I know this review is falling on deaf ears because but it need to stated and hopefully something will be done for the better. Every child not perfect but before you condemn a student really understand a student perspective. The school is run like a clique, if you not apart of their sorority or fraternity then you will not be helped by the Principal and Assistant Principals and staffs. This school need better caring, respectable, student and parent engaging leaders not who is who, and being bullied by the people who supposed to manage school and take of the students.
