10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of a two children (one of which has IEP/504 plan) I would say that Chelsea High School as a whole is a great educational experience for my children. When ever there has been a need for help it has been provided. All students are required to take a 1 trimester class in 9th grade called study skills to make sure they understand and can be prepared for the rigors of High School homework and assignments. The High School book of classes to set up your schedule is very extensive -62 pages long! Any course outside of that book and deemed reasonable can also be taken virtually if available. There is also a Washtenaw County District Consortium opportunity for 11-12 graders for careers and/or jobs directly out of high school such as welding, Culinary Arts , Welding, Printing, etc... We moved to the Chelsea area in part for the quality of the education system... so far (K-10 that we have had experience with) has been very good, and hearing feedback from friends in other local systems our experience has been better then theirs... I would not hesitate in recommending the Schools of Chelsea... all of them.Parent Review1y ago - Beach Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe administration is accessible and the teachers are almost without exception excellent instructors, engaged in the material, and care about their students. The opportunities are there for students to take challenging classes, pursue sports, play music, act in plays, and more. There is definitely not too much work, and if anything there could be more and classes could be more challenging..Parent Review11mo ago - North Creek Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would give it no stars if I could. My son is autistic and his last year at this school was horrible. Between the staff and principal I couldn't get out of there fast enough. The way they treated my son and how they handled things was wrong. No communication and when I tried to get in to have a meeting or to have one of his therapist in I was ignored. I have moved my son to another school district where he has succeeded and striving. I really don't feel he would be in the same situation if he kept going hereParent Review1y ago - South Meadows Elementary School

"Chelsea's architecture pays homage to its history, while providing all of the amenities of a modern city. It seems that those who live here have a true appreciation for their community. There are also always people being active, walking, riding bikes, etc. Also, I have never felt unsafe in Chelsea. "

"Chelsea is an absolutely idyllic community. The downtown is something out of a movie set. The homes and yards have old charm, but are incredibly well kept. The schools are great, the people are friendly and the town provides access to culture with places like the Purple Rose and easy access to many great restaurants and pubs (Common Grill, Smokehouse 52, Cleary's, etc). There's even a fun hipster seen with Zou Zou's and Back to the Roots. If you have kids, you can take them to Timber Town for endless hours of free entertainment. What's not to love?!?"

"Great quiet area. Close to downtown shops, library and schools."
