N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is the worst school ive ever seen! They have no regards for military parents or a work schedule. They try to enforce how to pick up or drop off your own child. They wont your child off the bus at there own stop if your not at the point of drop off even if the house is 2 houses down. This school creates problem after problem. The bues are ALWAYS late and has no respect for parents or parents children!! This school is terrible!Parent Review1y ago - South Harnett Elementary

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFor 3rd grade my son had a teacher that refused to acknowledge his raised hand for so long, he wet himself. She left the school before the end of the year and was replaced by a brand new teacher who was lovely, if inexperienced. My son’s 4th grade teacher is wonderful and the only reason he is still attending this school. My son gets bullied relentlessly on the bus. The school promises to address it, but does nothing. The PE teacher punishes the entire class by walking the students down a hallway and stopping to have all of the teachers in the 5th grade hallway come out of their rooms and laugh at them. My son was accepted into the AIG program, and 5 months later the school still has not had the meeting they were going to arrange to explain what that means for my child. Most importantly, my son broke his arm at school. My son was not even sent to the nurse! I did not receive a phone call. NOTHING!!! I get lots of assurances from staff that these things will be addressed. I have never seen actual action. It just seems to get worse. My son wants to be homeschooled next year and he has always adored school. I am very dissatisfied with this school.Parent Review2y ago - Overhills Middle

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student I see what happens on the daily and I don't think that teachers teach kids fairly and also sometimes do the grades incorrectly. Also I don't feel a lot of the time with of the threats we getOther Review10mo ago - Overhills High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would say that this school is worth the pain. I don't want to deal with the drama and seceding fallout that comes with the school however I have to praise the school for despite all that still having a selection of AP classes and teacher that make it worth it. Teachers are a luck of the draw kind of thing there a good ones and bad ones, however even the bad ones most times will offer some kind of begrudging support. Even though it is definitely rough around the edges I would say its a good school.Student Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 55 Surfwind Dr.

"I see kids playing outside all the time. People also walk their dogs often. Neighbors are friendly but also aren’t nosy. I walk my dog at night sometimes but I always have my husband go with me"

"The only advantage to spring lake is it’s proximity to Bragg. It’s not a safe place to live and I wouldn’t raise a family here. It’s cheap here though that’s about it. "

"Six years of crime and drugs kids have nothing to do and kids are over dosing at the highest rate ever. Harnett county is #2 in the state for STDs. There have been cops shot by 16 year olds and schools seem to be very low and kids seem to be pushed through the system. I live in a gated community and one of the biggest heroin dealers in the state just got busted here. Spring Lake is a revolving door and is going downhill at a rapid rate."
