5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStated in a December 2012 Board of Directors "Needs Analysis Report" by Cross & Joftus "Observers noted one school, Miller Park Elementary, in which academic rigor was present consistently throughout the school. At this high-poverty elementary school, which could be considered a model for the district, the academic program included a comprehensive writing program, high levels of student engagement were found in most every classroom, paraprofessionals were engaged in instructional delivery and appeared to be highly skilled, and there was evidence of consistent, high-quality instruction across and among the classrooms."Teacher Review10y ago - Omaha North Magnet High School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids go here and both of them are excelling. They both are in honors classes and participate in extra-curricular activities like band, Young Democrats, and Science Club. What I would say to anyone thinking about going here and seeing that Great Schools has given it a rating of "1" is that is apparently based on test results alone. If you are a parent who wants to send your child to a school with great programs, engaged teachers and opportunities for a child who has a variety of interests, this is a great school. If you are a parent who's engaged in your child's education, your child will do well here. Oh, and if, by chance, your child enjoys pottery in addition to STEM subjects, they have a phenomenal pottery program and studio. (It rivals some universities).Parent Review9y ago - Check out schools near 5411 N 24th St.

"Nice community. A little noisy at times. For the most part it’s a nice place to live. Most ppl have lived on this block for quite awhile. I love the Miller Park trail and park. New additions make it so welcoming "

"I think they’d love it. Not all owners pick up poop though and that’s not neighborly. Most are kept on leashes."

"I have lived in Omaha for 15 years, im ready to move elsewhere but until im able to to get a judge to ok us leaving the country i guess were stuck here until then. I used to love living here, until I realized more and more people dont care, are cruel and heartless, and when u give ur word it used to mean gold, now a days, people can care less, and wont hold good on their word or their promises. I wish things would go back to the old ways, things were definitely much easier and better living back then.. "
