3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 children at Central and I also went there. The school is amazing and the teachers are very easy to work with. They are always willing to come in early or stay late to help with kids that are having difficulties.Parent Review4y ago - Hillside Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you get lucky, you could get a great teacher. If you get unlucky, you could get stuck with a teacher who doesn’t even care about you as a person and is only focused on making money. I’ve had a horrible experience with teachers as well as bullying. This school doesn’t even care if you’re getting bullied.Student Review3mo ago - Mcdonough School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has been going to this school for the past 3 years. Although she is holding her own in school, I see some of the teachers and other staff stressed by the lack of parents help. Meaning a lot of the kids that go here need a lot more than what the school can provide. 1 example language a lot of the kids do not speak English which can make learning difficult for everyone and frustrating. I have to say though that the Principal is 1 of the best. He knows all students by name. He makes it a point to know is students. He has a high expectation level, has he should. He is encouraging making sure all his students do has well as they can to succeed. He makes school fun for them. The staff is wonderful right down to the janitors. The staff is there willing to help and do what is takes to teach these kids. In regards to the school not ranking that great do to test standards, it is because again a lot of the children are not getting the quality of help they need from their home life. If more parents got involved in what their children were doing, they would have a better chance in school. If you want your child to do well it starts at home, School is just reinforcement.Parent Review12y ago - Manchester School Of Technology (High School)

"In Manchester it is a quick commute to most needs, grocerily stores, restaurants, nightlife, and everything else you'd need. Public transportation isn't so good and you definitely can't have packages delivered."

"I’ve lived in my home for 22 years. I raised all 4 of my children here and never had any incidents or had to call the police. I’m a walker, and have walked this neighborhood all 22 years I’ve been here and never had a problem. I have a hospital, fire department, multiple schools, grocery stores, etc., all within walking distance. I’ve made friends with multiple neighbors and have always felt safe here. I understand not all parts of Manchester are great, but I have been very happy in my area and home. "

"This is a horrible, crime infested area with low scoring schools and unfriendly people. if you have lived here all your life you don't even notice it, but I haven't lived here all my life. I know better."

"The inner city of Manchester is trash. It's lined with unsightly buildings, trash-filled alleys, dirty roads and sidewalks, and unsavory characters. There outskirts of Manchester are a better living area."
