8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLux gets two stars for excellent teachers. LPS is a wonderful district and you really can’t go wrong for most schools. This would be the one exception. If you’re not rich, if your child doesn’t have a very specific personality archetype and they’re not excelling in social skills or if they’re not already in with a group of kids, If you’re not friends with other parents at this school, this is going to be torture for them despite the good education. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was told to go to the media center and he could actually work on school work. And he was doing that but the administrator of Southeast high School had a problem with him going up to the library and studying he's almost about to graduate. And then they just added a new rule just to be mean let my son study so he can get the heck out of there isn't it bad enough that he has low self-esteem. Help him so he can graduate if he has special education. Like these teachers are neglecting kids and their education now. And you need to stop the the administrators need to stop picking on my son. My son was just sitting in the media center when another kid got arrested and they tried to say that my son had something to do with it obviously you can check your cameras. The administrator and the counselor seem to have a problem with my child. And he's doing good now. So get him out of there and let him graduate if he needs to study help him to study. And sometimes before and after school does not work especially when you have somebody that is with you that has a disability that needs to be home to take their medication. Immediately we were concerned due to the fact that she was not picking up the math concepts. We are still struggling at home with math and during conferences we addressed the issue. The teacher informed us that the school did not have a math program in place for students who were not as good with these skills. I believe that every school should be prepared to handle students who are not understanding with a proper program in place. My sons, who go to a different school, have much better support within the school system.Parent Review9y ago

"I've lived here for over 15yrs. Good schools, good location, easy access to main arteries to get around town. Movies, shopping, many different eating options, good biking trails or parks. Great for all ages."
