5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI think this information is outdated. The name isn’t even updated to STEAM Academy. This school is amazing! My kids are excelling in all subjects and they provide so much for these kids! They even are about to have an obstacle course, baseball diamond and soccer field with equipment and another new playground that was only built a year ago. They grow their own gardens and eat them teaching them healthy eating habits and life skills. Please update you info cause This have to be like 10 years old.Parent Review4y ago - Heritage Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers in this school are very disrespectful towards students. My friends feel the same about this. They never actually care about how we feel. They just want our grades to be good. The amount of times my friends and I have cried because of them is honestly depressing. I cried IN FRONT of a teacher and they didn’t say anything they just said “come back in the class after you’re ready”. As I said they never cared. For the reason as to why I don’t feel safe is because there’s also a lot of cameras I usually see 3 in a corner. My social studies teacher called my parents because I got a 62 on one quiz. I pay attention in class I just have my head down and I’m not sure as to why she brought that up. As for special education I’ve seen this kid with Down’s syndrome and the teacher who’s with him “raised her voice” at him for not being able to type something in Spanish. What kind of person does that? Some of the teachers are supportive of learning but most are very strict. For example one of my friends got yelled at for doing little drawing on their work? It’s not that deep. Some of them take their job too seriously. I went to get lunch for my friend one time because they twisted their ankle. She responded with “no your friend can get it themselves” she didn’t even let me explain the situation. They always say “you should’ve stayed home” when we’re tired. They act like we have the choice to stay home. All I can say is that I don’t recommend this school. From my experience being here I can’t wait to leave.Student Review1y ago - Newburgh Prep Charter High School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAmazing. The small enviroment promotes idividualism and the students get a much better chance at recieving one on one help with a teacher. I've seen many young adults who have previously dropped out of high school attend Newburgh Prep and achieve success. With perhaps the best and defintely the kindest teachers and staff in the area, these people really do care about helping students shape their futures and improving the community aw a whole.Other Review9y ago - Check out schools near 53 Willow Ln.

"New Windsor is a great location to live and have children. The school district is great, a lot of local stores and parks, and a lot of military personal because of West Point. The downfall is Middletown and Newburgh aren’t too far from it, and both towns have a high crime rate."

"Newwindsor is a great place to live in honestly. I say this because it is safe and quiet. Not much going on in this small town. This is a very boring place to stay. I happen to live in the heart of newwindsor close to butter hill and even then not much goes down. Also dont be surprised if there is a deer in your backyard."
