"The area is nice and generally quiet. Everything you need is within a short driving distance. It is also in a suburban type area. "

"Busy traffic and there’s a lot of places picky about dogs and charge a lot to have them. Other than that it’s good"

"It’s ok place to live. Some of the people are very clicky and think there better then you. Needs more restaurants but that’s fine. Schools are awesome. "

"North Liberty Jazz Fest. I believe it happens once a year and is located across the area school. Usually nice music and good food with plenty of options. Unfortunately because of such large turnouts they have banned bringing dogs into the area. "

"Everyone has dogs. Most yards are fenced in which makes it pet friendly. Some neighbors aren’t the best about their dogs barking but most are. "

"Great schools friendly people and low crime rate. These are huge qualities of North Liberty. Coming from Boston, you would never get a public school education there like you can get here. "

"North liberty used to be a very nice, quiet, bedroom community. It was a wonderful small town with a quaint feel. However, over the last 10 years has become another generic suburbia. On average, there is one strip mall for every 10 residents with more being built every week. Even though more than half of the properties sit vacant, the city continues to allow more to be built. When strip malls aren’t being built, there are overpriced zero lots and condos going up. The housing market is so overpriced that finding a decent home for less than $225,000 is just about impossible. 15 years ago you could find a three bedroom two bath house with a huge backyard for under 130,000. "Bedroom community, but starting to grow its own personality. Good restaurants, good schools, good public services and parks"

"There are a lot of dog owners in this area. There is a trail that many people use to take their dogs on walks! "

  • Brianna S.
"Plenty of walking trails and parks to venture to all over no matter what part of the town you’re in, dog parks and hiking trails all quite close as well and just outside of town. Seems to be more pet friendly rental wise here than Iowa City. "

"I lived here a year and half now. Great Schools, quiet neighborhoods accept children playing. I feel comfortable letting my son walk home from school and I have even left my garage open over night and car unlocked, and nothing had been taken. North Liberty is a Great place to live."
