5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is your average diverse High school similar to Brentwood high school only a lot smaller. The guidance department is always full and the college and career room is useless unless you are constantly on top of them to get your things done, other than that I'm pretty sure everyone can handle college work on their own with out their help. The Internet is always failing, even right in the middle of filling out applications for college related things. The teachers are good and nice and they help out alot, also copiague is rated one of the top schools with the most socially interactive student body which is a good thing once your out in the world. The school has its perks and it's downsides but overall a good enough school to get things done and get a career if you really give it your all. There are alot of after school activities and sports. I feel that music and art are undermined and should be funded moreStudent Review8y ago - Copiague Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal, Karla Cangelosi, is horrible. She is unprofessional, rude, disgruntled, and complacent. Equity is not a priority at this school. And the rating posted on this platform is a reflection of the results. Pay attention to Black student results. The school is headed with all white teachers, and heads of offices, expected to effectively and efficiently teach minority students. Balance is desperately needed to ensure equity for all. I hope they fire that principal.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 50 Cortland St #1.

"The area is family friendly and stable. There is a good mix of children, youngsters , middle age, families and older people. Shopping is abundant: no more than 10 min in any direction. Medical facilities, doctors offices, parks, highway and railroad access all close by. Housing is still relatively affordable compared to neighboring towns. All that’s needed are a few more good families who care!"
